"Full disclosure, I've never lived here, but toured a unit which was so vile that it felt like an unreal experience. I toured here with a lady who at first was unable to unlock the first unit she was planning to show me. She started trying various doors with the keys until we went to a completely different unit that she knew was vacant. When we entered, it was clear to me that this unit had not been cleaned perhaps the entire time the previous tenant was residing there. There was urine/feces drops on all the bathroom mirrors and sinks and grime on the walls. The smell was overwhelming and reminded me of my time as a social work case manager in which I would work with severely psychotic people who would never shower. It was clear that the tenant also smoked inside the unit due to the nauseating smell and yellowed walls/blinds. The lady who showed me this did not appear to be concerned about any of this and I almost felt like I was dreaming or imagining it because it was so horrendous, but she seemed completely unperturbed and did not mention or apologize for the state of the unit at all. There was also a lot of trash around all the units which suggests a probable roach infestation to go along with it. Please don't even waste your time touring with this place."

"I am updating my review as I have lived here for 8 months now. I am now giving 1 star instead of 5. 1. From move in till today, I have ordered countless pest controls for which I specify every single time that it is for roaches infestation. I just asked them to break my lease because I cannot take it anymore and now they are offering a « special treatment » that will automatically get rid of them !!??? This level of infestation is impossible to get rid of, I literally SLEEP with them (see pictures). I see them on my nightstand every single night. I have seen them in the closet, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, literally everywhere. I have a baby that started to crawl and I am not waiting until he starts finding roaches and putting them in his mouth to move out. I am really disgusted with this place and I can’t believe they don’t go out of their way to resolve this infestation issue. 2. My car got broken into and when we reported it to the office they said we should put our own cameras to catch the thieves????!!! How about you put more cameras and lighting to prevent thieves from breaking into cars so easily? I am pretty sure there is a break in every night. They also removed a catalyser from another car I brought 2 weeks after the break in. No car is safe here! 3. I saw with my own eyes some tenants going into their apartments with big guns. How am I supposed to feel safe? I definitely think they need to take this property more seriously, and start with added security and cameras. No one wants to live in the conditions I have been leaving in, this is my honest opinion about my experience. I have never broken a lease but I am now forced to hire a lawyer to help me break this lease. I cannot be held responsible for wanting to leave this awful situation."

"DO NOT MOVE HERE! I moved here from out of state and this was the absolutely WORST leasing experience ever! Upon moving in, there was a trash problem where the tenants were leaving trash everywhere. I will say that this issue did clear up after 4-5 emails to the office. THIS COMPLEX HAS A BUG INFESTATION THAT WILL TAKE MORE THAN WEEKLY TREATMENTS! Ask any tenant here and they will tell you, no matter how much you clean, you WILL have an infestation of roaches and they are everywhere. In all rooms even in the fridge, everywhere(You have to request it instead of the office taking the initiative to go ahead and schedule pest control for you) The office is well aware of this problem. I have asked many times for them to come and fill in the holes within the apartment so that the bugs don’t come in and out and they stated that they do not have the money to fix these issues. I encourage any past tenants to report them to 311. With enough reports I hope they will be reviewed and these issues will be brought to light within Charlotte. Other things to note- their maintenance staff does “patch up” jobs instead of actually fixing the problem. I’m not sure if this is due lack of training/skills or if they are just lazy, maybe a combination of both. I had 21 maintenance requests within a year for an “upgraded apartment” that was not upgraded at all. A few months into my lease the ceiling in the hallway started leaking and a huge hole was in the ceiling because a pipe broke and it took 3 days for someone to come out and an extra week for it to be fixed. This place needs extreme and undeniable attention . If they try to move you in the 6017 apartments, DO NOT DO IT. Yes. Ely is nice and personable and that’s the only nice thing I can say about my experience here but don’t let the nice people in the office fool you.This place needs to be shut down. Everything thing else was a waste of time and honestly the worst year of my life. Crime is also an issue here. There have been several car break ins. Someone vandalized (broke my passenger window and ripped my wheel off) my car here in September and someone’s car was vandalized last week. 6 sheriff cars were just here 2 days ago. They do not send emails to let tenants know about these things I’m going to say this again, DO NOT MOVE HERE. They have great move in specials, however it truly is not worth it. Saving of your first months rent is not worth the aggravation you will through by living here ."

"Ely has great customer service. Recommend working with the ladies in the office. Made it easy for the application process and my move in. The outside does need some work but my apartment in the side looks great!! I also love the one month free special. I recommend working with Ely or Nexy. They are great!"
