River Mill Lofts Apartments

"Our unit was not cleaned prior to our move-in. The previous tenants left a large pile of discarded laundry (about 20 items, mostly children's clothing), the carpets were filthy, and there was dog hair everywhere (German Shepherd is my guess). I had packages stolen from the secure(?) mail room, and when this was reported to management, nothing was done. Side exit doors to the buildings are often left damaged so that they won't close or lock properly, and they are often left that way for weeks or months. So while you're paying to live in a secure building, anyone can gain access through these side doors. They have a contract with AT&T, so that's your only option for getting wireless internet, and the service is garbage. You can choose from a 2G or 5G plan (no sensible middle ground). We ordered and were paying for the 5G plan at about $185 per month, only to find out later that we were only receiving their 2G service. No refund or credit from AT&T, they just took hundreds of dollars from us for services paid for and not delivered. Maintenance and office staff are pleasant and polite enough. Units and amenities are average for the price range."

"Has its pros and cons. Walls are very thin and you can hear so much of your neighbors, we hear from both sides, above, and occasionally below. To the point sleeping is occasionally hard. Parking can be a pain. Trash is extremely frustrating, not picking up some days, changing schedules others, and the service commonly leaves trash in the can even after picking up some neighbors. Building doors are very commonly broken and just left unlocked, handicap door commonly doesn’t work. Rent is high for what is being offered. It’s also strange how dog friendly the building is but there are signs EVERYWHERE to not let your dog walk or use the bathroom on the grass areas (which are rightfully ignored because how can you have a dog friendly building with nowhere for dogs to use the bathroom) Pros are that the people are friendly, the dog park is very nice, chaunies coffee is great, management at the building is friendly and responsive, the units are pretty nice."

"RML has been such a great place to live. Having such a great staff to take care of my needs is important and Sierra in the office has taken care of everything I needed. I absolutely would recommend this place for anyone who is looking to rent in Asheville."

"River Mill Lofts is without a doubt the BEST apartment complex in the Asheville, NC area! When I was initially looking for an apartment I did an extensive search & visited multiple complexes in Asheville. River Mill Lofts was the only one that felt like "HOME!" I could tell from that first visit that RML was a very tight knit community. the Leasing office staff were always very friendly and really got to know their tenants. I lived here during the entire year of 2020 & the way that Management handled the Coronavirus Pandemic was beyond exceptional. During times of uncertainty and the fear of going out in public, it was very nice to have Food trucks almost every other day so you were able to get a meal without leaving the complex! Becca the property manager & Ashleigh the leasing agent did a PHENOMENAL job keeping the community updated on the food truck schedules and any other events that were going on. We also spent most weekends down at the River Mill Lofts Dog Park & Bonfire. This community is very pet friendly with the Dog park, walking trails surrounding the complex, and a smaller pet area. River Mill Lofts is also a walking distance to many things in Biltmore Village! If you're looking for a resident friendly, pet friendly, modern apartment complex to live that is in the heart of Downtown Asheville / Biltmore Village.. You'll feel right at home with River Mill Lofts!!"
