Brookstone Lodge

"First off, it's a hotel. It has 4 floors of rooms. There's a small indoor pool and fitness ctr. Breakfast is the usual, powdered eggs, sausage patties, waffles, fruit, cereal, juice and coffee (mud). Parking is a challenge. The rooms have been refreshed. Beds are comfortable. One small elevator. Don't get caught when housekeeping is trying to get their carts on the floors. Take the stairs. This location is right off I40 about 3 miles away from the Biltmore Estate."

"Our door would not close properly without pulling up and hard on the door. They did clean our room each day and provided fresh towels. Breakfast was mediocre. Was perfectly out of town and not far from being in town. The pool was supposed to be heated. It was cold and dirty. There was tons of hair and the water was cloudy. Our room was extremely small don’t know that I have stayed in a hotel room that small!"

"Brookstone is a small hotel. Convenient location. Clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Nice spacious bathroom with great shower. Quiet, even though located next to an Interstate. Breakfast bar was nice. Good selection of breads/sweets. Eggs and sausage including gravy one morning. Coffee was good. Parking was easy and secure. Staff that we encountered were all helpful and friendly. Check in was easy and quick. Pleasant young lady checked us in. Of particular note - the night desk clerk, Kim - she wears many hats apparently - was extremely helpful, friendly and hardworking. I witnessed her sweeping/mopping the floor and setting up the breakfast bar the two mornings that we were there. She paid great attention to detail - unlike the average employee these days. This lady is definitely an asset to the Brookstone Lodge."

"Our go-to place for visiting relatives in Asheville. Never had a bad experience. Breakfast is on par with everyone else. I wish they'd just put a little more effort into it. What's up with the renovations? Seems like they've been working on the place forever."

"About what you would expect. The accommodations are fine. Breakfast was a bit unimpressive and messy. The gym was just a couple treadmills and the pool was a no for me. There certainly isn’t a view from here. That being said, the staff is very friendly and the rooms were clean. Overall, worth the price if you just need a place to stay."
