"We have been to this location many times but it seems every time we go we're let down more and more. This recent trip was the worst. Not sure what's going on but it appears everyone is to relaxed. Her first impressions were after driving into valet with a wife and child and five bags. The valets were less than enthusiastic and very discouraging to assist us in getting our bags upstairs. The strong comment is going to be a while before we can get your bags upstairs. It may be quicker if you take them?? In a five-star place like this this is our greeting? So it started out weird. We struggled but carried our own bags to our suite. It seemed every time we attempt to get coffee in the courtesy coffee of the lobby they were out....both containers... seriously?.... we noticed that the water was always out? The people at reception were less than enthusiastic and implied that we were bothering them. I believe the one gentleman's name that sit at the right desk with gray hairs name was John. I wish I would have thought to pull my video out on my phone and recorded his sassy nonchalant insincere way he dealt not only with us but other guests.... how could this be possible at such an expensive and nice place? The hotel itself is magnificent, the great art and Ambience are superb. Just so disappointed in the lack of hospitality that was displayed. We are very easy and not demanding people but just simply unacceptable. As I previously noted, something's going on everyone there must be to relax with the day-to-day operation. Had a second and third dealing with the guy at the reception and check in. Just nonchalant and uncaring and certainly not helpful. We entertain and escort high profile clients... unfortunately the Grand Bohemian Asheville is marked off of our list."

The rooms and hotels are clean. I loved how close it was to so many restaurants and things to do! We'd definitely stay here again."

I had a one night stay as part of my author tour, and I found the staff incredibly friendly, especially Al who checked me in and Todd who seated me at the restaurant, the rooms were spectacular and spacious, and I had such a peaceful, blissful stay.
