"* I lived in the G building The Good a. Across the street from Appalachian State b. Walking distance from Earthfare c. A crosswalk is conveniently located at Hardin street entrance across from App State The Bad a. Paper Thin Walls b. No built in A/C. Only baseboard heat. Property management companies will try to tell you that you don't need A/C in the summer. It is a lie! c. It's behind the Red Onion and the employees of the Red Onion smoke constantly. When you open your windows because there is no A/C in your apartment, you get to breath in smoke and its so frequent your stuff stinks like smoke!. D. Every morning at the Red Onion they throw glass bottles away behind the restaurant. Since the apartments are behind the Red Onion and the Apartments don't have A/C, your window is open, so you get to be waked up by breaking glass and slamming of the metal dumpster door. Even if your window is closed you get waked by the banging since the walls are so thin. E. The parking lot is on a hill and really is only one way. Cars drive up the hill very fast and it can be difficult to back out. F. The stair, sidewalks, and parking are not salted at all or done so very poorly when it snows and ices. Trying not to slip all winter is not fun. G. Since the parking lot is not salted, your car may be stuck until the snow melts. I've seen many cars attempt to drive up or down in the snow and slide down the hill. H. The trash is located at the 3rd building so if you are at one of the other two buildings, it can be annoying to have to walk or drive to the dumpster."
