"We called at 1:30am, 2 hours before our arrival and spoke to Lauren who was very accommodating. She was able to get us a room on the first floor. The room was spacious and impeccably clean. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. The continental breakfast was more than we could've hoped for. The breakfast bar staff were attentive, and constantly checking to make sure the food was replenished while keeping the area clean."

"This was our first time back to a Holiday Inn in over 10 years due to a bad experience in San Antonio, TX. Never less. This was an awesome stay from Taylor at the front desk, which made our stay super. She was super sweet and welcoming. Our room faced out with a balcony view, which was spectacular. Overall, I'm super happy, a must stay again."

"My husband and I came here for our anniversary and we’re not very pleased with our stay. On the first night of our stay, my husband decided to take a bath and use the jets in the tub. After putting a little body wash in the tub and getting in, he soon realized that there was dirt coming out of the Jets. The following morning we asked for them to come clean the tub and to get dead bugs out of the light over the closet. When we came back from a long day in Asheville, the dirty towels were on the floor, the tub had been cleaned, and the light fixture had been cleaned but nothing else was done. We called down to the front desk and were told that we needed to request for the room to be cleaned. The next morning we requested for the room to be clean, however, we return to the room hours later, and the bed was not made, they did not take out the trash and all that was brought to the room was fresh towels. Today, we returned from sightseeing in Boone, only to find again the bed was not made, despite our request for it to be made. By the time we arrive back housekeeping had left, so I had came down to the desk and asked for sheets the front desk associate was not knowledgeable enough to know that our bed was a king size so she gave us queen size sheets . The lack of competence is mind blowing. Someone please help make sense of this."

"Rooms are not being cleaned properly. The dust is thick on the window ledges, the headboard edges, the lamp shades, under the beds, etc. There is mold around the edges of the tub. Apparently the cleaning staff gives the rooms a lick and a promise but the promise is never done. The kitchen staff is unfriendly, rude and one of them is downright surly. At 8:00 am food trays were empty. The fruit bowl was empty, plastic spoons were all gone, no hot water for tea. Restocking of the refrigerator was not done until 9:30am after breakfast was over. There was a large group of about 20 young ladies (from a conference room) that came in for breakfast about 9:00am, who had to scrounge for something to eat. They finally brought in 1 pan of cinnamon rolls about 9:20am. One of the kitchen staff when asked for a plastic spoon answered " I haven't got time to get it." Well maybe if at 8:00 am you hadn't been sitting with 2 others in the kitchen area talking... No USB ports by the bed. Definitely a low tech hotel in need of renovation. Starting with the staff."
