"What a wonderfully positive hotel experience! We brought our dog, who had a great time. The location is great for getting to the mountains and exploring Boone. Christopher and his staff are incredibly accommodating and were patient and helpful. We’ll be returning the next time we’re in the area."

"Staying at this location was not a pleasant experience. Shortly after check-in, I noticed that our AC was not functioning properly. I reported that to the front desk. Later, I went to pickup dinner, and when I returned, my family told me that the people above us had been stomping, jumping, and running wildly. Then, I heard it. At the two hour mark, I reported that to the front desk. It went on until nearly midnight. I was told that there was only one room that I could be moved to, due to being at 98% capacity, but it was a 1 bedroom, and I couldn't move since my family was with me. The AC unit did come on, and it blew cool air for a few minutes, so I thought it might have started working, after my wife and kids went to sleep (around the three hour mark) it started randomly blowing extremely hot air, then back to cool air over and over. No maintenance was offered. Around 1130 PM, the power to the hotel went off (other buildings around had power), and it stayed off for multiple hours. There was no AC in an already hot room, no lights, and a loud continuous beeping sound from the hallway. That was reported to the front desk. People were walking, talking, yelling in the hallways, and it could all be heard due to the dead silence of the other electronics like the fridge and AC unit. Once the power went out, the people above us started stomping and running again. On top of all of that, I had about $150 worth of food in the fridge, which was no longer on at this point, so that was a waste. I had driven for around 9 hours that day, needed rest for an event early the next morning, and I knew that I would have to drive 9 or 10 hours the next day late into the night. I got zero sleep in this hotel, and I let the employees and the general manager know that I expected every single one of my points to be returned to me for the stay. The noise level, the lack of maintenance, combined with a power outage were absolutely unacceptable for a Marriott property. However, it could have easily been rectified by returning my points and apologizing. 50% of my points have been returned by the general manager, and that simply isn't good enough for the nightmare night that I went through at this hotel. The only reason that I am giving service 2 stars for this stay is because the employees were very friendly."

"The rooms were fine. The front desk staff were completely unacceptable for a Marriott. Surly. Unhelpful. Gave a vibe that they were doing us a favor. Playing on their phones rather than paying attention to guests. Different person everyday. Wouldn’t stay here again."
