"I was in a bind while driving though the Blue Ridge Parkway. An earlier reservation had fell through and so i was desperately looking for a place for me and my small dog to stay. Even though this establishment advertised as open and even asked for my card details on their website, I couldn’t get though on the phone. Their website showed they had ample room. As it was reaching 6pm I started out to this remote location. What I found was several dark buildings and eventually a woman aggressively yelling at my general direction. If you don’t have the time, ability, or even the desire to cater to new travelers, then remove your services from these pages. I wasted 40+ minutes.. after an 8 hour drive. Not trying to throw shade but if anything I’m just super bummed out and I hope you are able to eventually turn things around and provide the services that you claim"

"We enjoyed our stay during a quick visit to Boone. The room had an outdoorsy smell but nothing unbearable. The location was perfect, and the front staff were friendly."

"Our room had both roaches and bed bugs, both of which we got videos of on camera. I cant upload videos on here but I did get a photo of the bedbug. The carpet was also badly stained and the walls had cobwebs and dust all over them. The wi-fi didn’t work and the tv made an obnoxious squeaky sound every ten seconds so we ended up turning it off. I wish I was kidding about all of this but I’m not. I didn’t expect a five star hotel but this was just flat out filthy unacceptable. I left super congested and it took all day for my sinuses to clear. We wanted to speak with someone at the front desk when we checked out but it was not open so we couldn’t inquire about a refund but we are really grossed out to say the least. All other hotels nearby were booked so we had to stay here."

"We stayed in the cabin section of this establishment. It is an older facility, so expect peeling wallpaper, hair dryers that don't work, stains on the bedlinens....but what we didn't expect was to get stung by yellowjackets IN the room. My traveling partner and I were both stung multiple times when we came in from outings on the second night. I don't know how they got in. We had not opened the patio door at all. They could have been nesting in the logs that lined one wall inside the room. The manager didn't want to do much about it. After much back and forth, they gave us a partial refund of one night which did not equate to the swelling and pain of the stings we incurred. They got me on the lip and thigh. My lips were swollen for days, and after a week, there is still a 5" diameter, red, inflamed area on my thigh. If that had happened to someone allergic to stings, the results could have been fatal. I'd advise finding another place to stay."

"ROACHES!!! ABSOLUTELY terrible! When we Checked in we first checked the surrounding areas in the room for bugs then Checked the bed, nothing seen. So went to dinner. came back and there was ROACHES running on the bed!! There was stains on the bedding, everything WAY outdated, even the 1980s toilet. We went to the office to cancel and get refund and was offered an upgraded room in another building with a whirlpool lol. We declined and never got an apology for how things were!!! Terrible place. DONT STAY HERE!!!"
