"Update: we returned to this charming condo to enjoy the vivid autumn colors in this beautiful area. The colors of the leaves are so stunning, everywhere you look. We love sitting on the patio to enjoy the view of grandfather mountain and the surrounding hills. There is a new glass enclosed shower in the master bathroom. Very nice!! We love this place! Really enjoyed our stay. The enclosed shower in the master bath. Today is our last full day at 1353 unit 203 seven devils road. It is a 2nd story 2/2 condo unit that is entry level. It is tastefully decorated. There are cute cabin themed decorations throughout. The view from the patio of this condo is amazing! Full view of Grandfather mountain and surrounding mountains. We got lucky and hit peak fall foliage. The colors are spectacular. They have a cute patio table that we had coffee and breakfast while braving the chilly temperatures to enjoy the fresh mountain air and beautiful views. They have a gas fireplace that is perfect to warm up after sitting outside on the patio . If you love to cook or bake, the kitchen is fully stocked with new or newer appliances like waffle maker, air fryer, slow cooker, nice sets of pots and pans. There are so many nice glasses for any kind of wine you may enjoy. The dishes are in full sets and definitely not mix match like many other rentals. Everything you need so no need to bring from home. Less than a mile away, there is a small waterfall and park called Otter Falls if you are a hiker. The waterfall is the kind you can sit on rocks and put your feet in. About 2 miles away Hawks Nest has snow tubing in the winter and zip lining any other times of the year. If you like to ski, Sugar and Beech mountains are not far away. There is plenty of parking too so no need to worry about parking. We wish we were staying longer!!"

"We stayed in the timbers units for 2 nights (Extended it for a 3rd night and debated a 4th). --- NEGATIVES --- 1. Hot air rises. In order to keep the down stairs warm, the upstairs was like a sauna. We really had to play with the fireplace and thermostat to get any reasonable temperature. --- POSITIVES --- 1. The women that work in the check in office are so friendly!!!! They are there for everything you need. 2. Prices are very reasonable. 3. Units are very nice and up to date. 4. Clubhouse is great, the kids love the pool and jacuzzi. 5. Just a great experience!!! I will come back and recommend this place."

"Excellent stay in the mountains at Echota! Love it so much I work there now as a carpenter helping to build new condos. Currently working on the Summit. The pics attached are the beautiful views from the Summit."

"Weekend Getaway to Echota with friends! Can't beat the views! Love the close proximity to Boone, Banner Elk, hiking, wineries including Grandfather Mountain Winery on the Watauga River. Also enjoyed the Alpine Coaster in Banner Elk!"

"Awesome staff to rent from. Echota is close to Boone, Hawksnest (tubing / zipline), Sugar Mtn, Beech Mtn, Tweetsie, Grandfather, etc. Good website and phone support if needed. We rented here for years and finally bought our own place. Shameless plug to check it out if you're coming to the area: just go to "jump to property" and look for Grand Oaks RC4. The views, pools, amenities and proximity to everything is just perfect!"
