"We had a lovely stay at the Cedar Crest Inn. The location was very convenient to get downtown but it was not downtown which was ideal for us. We also were able to walk to Biltmore Village which was nice to go get a coffee. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and were greeted by very friendly staff in the main house that got us checked in. We stayed in one of the cottages behind the main house and the room was lovely. The only negative was the bathroom toilet needed to be serviced and ran every 15 minutes. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was alright but a little sweet for my taste but the coffee and juice were very good. After exploring downtown we came back to freshen up before dinner and enjoyed the wine and cheese spread on the porch. We even saw a black bear while sipping. Overall it was a very good place to stay and we would definitely consider staying there again."
"My husband and I just stayed there for our wedding anniversary. This is our fourth time at Cedar Creat and overall it was just as wonderful. I do want to share the following observations from this trip: 1) it seems like the breakfast portions have been reduced a bit. Saturday we had a small salad with a few scalloped potatoes and one soufflé pancake with some blueberries and whipped cream which was delicious but the one pancake was fairly small and we were hungry an hour later 2) the bathrooms needed updates the last time we visited and now they need more. Tile was missing in the bathroom and the bath tub needs to be changed to either one that isn’t so tall or put in a shower instead. I completely get that the historical aspect needs to be preserved but this just falls under necessary maintenance 3) the smoke detector had been removed from our room which was fairly concerning. But overall it was a wonderful experience and Sue was great!"
"Stayed here with my wife. Very cozy inn. Great breakfast service in the morning and an arms throw from downtown Asheville. Would be nice to have a better system for bags, not great to have to lug several large bags up a couple flights of stairs. Other thing of just observation for larger people, the in room bathroom was small and I mean SMALL. Just be aware if you are anywhere outside of an average person size. Other than this, it was a great experience."
"This BB is everything you expect for southern hospitality: delicious breakfast served in a lovely atmosphere; comfy unique rooms; polite engaging staff, ample Parking. See the photo telling of this house history. Our stay was perfect -room #1 in the cottage was spacey and luxurious. Great bathroom and storage closet. The 5g internet was fabulous. Views were of natural surroundings. The common areas inside were decorated perfectly, comfortable and guest oriented. We had access to kitchen facilities in the cottage - which we used. Sadly, outdoor areas such as cottage deck were not maintained well enough for us to consider using to relax in. All in all a wonderful retreat with fabulous food, enriched by the historical home."
"My husband and I recently stayed at Cedar Crest Inn on our honeymoon and LOVED it. The adorable little inn is located only a couple of minutes from The Biltmore entrance which was super convenient. It was cozy, quaint and historical. It was quiet- we had free rein to of the inn and could come and go as we pleased. The only time we even saw the other guests was during breakfast. The breakfast was delicious and dining outside on the wrap around porch was beautiful. We stayed in the Tower Room which was a climb, but worth it. The bed was very comfy. We knew we only had a bath tub with hand held shower, but we’re totally fine with it- it was an adventure outside of our norm and actually entertaining to us. There were drinks (tea, coffee, water) and snacks always stocked in the kitchen area. Lots of accommodations for how inexpensive it was. Highly recommend staying here!! 10/10."
