"Fantastic location across from the Orange Peel and right in the thick of downtown Asheville, walking distance to nearly everything. It's basic accommodations, but if you're in Asheville, you shouldn't be in your room at all, you should be out experiencing the town. Very clean, easy check in/out. Will def be back!"
"We stayed here for New Year's and it was a great place to crash. It was a small but efficient room, and everything pictured was what was there - we especially appreciated the mini fridge and the sink in the room. The place was clean and nicely laid out. The window offering the sunset view was relaxing and peaceful; the traffic noises provided a nice white noise in times of silence. The location is spectacular, as it's right across the street from a popular brewery and next to a hilarious ghost tour company. My only complaint is that activity in other rooms could be heard easily though the walls and ceiling, but that was expected. Thanks for such a great stay!"
"Great place to stay & walk to everything in the South Slope area of Asheville. No on-site parking, they have communal bathrooms, but keep the whole place very clean. My main "con" to the place would be the residents making popcorn right outside of our room at 2am (and similar experiences during past stays at the Gray Rock Inn). But I don't think you can beat the price and the location."
"Friendly, safe, and affordable accommodations for Asheville travelers. I stayed in their solo room, and it was perfect for an independent weekend giveaway. Rooms have a sink and fridge, and a microwave and coffeemaker are available. There's also a kitchen and laundry. Bathrooms are shared, but there are plenty available. Very close to downtown Asheville and all of its attractions, and the food co-op next door has most of the basics you need. About half of the rooms are taken by longer term residents, but everyone is quiet."
"So the place is in a great location and the room was great. The common areas are very clean and the time we spent in the room was very comfortable. There are people that live there on a weekly basis and so the kitchen areas are more for them. They didn't mention that part before hand. That made things a little less comfortable. The lady who checked us in mentioned coffee but not that we have to supply our own cream and sugar. There is a great food co-op next door that has some great food. All in all, we were very pleased, we just wish we'd known the living dynamic there before hand."
