Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Gambrills

"So here’s a small tidbit of my experience at this hotel. I’m from VA and came down to visit family in MD. My mom recommended this hotel as it is a new build and pretty close to her residence. We arrived at the hotel and checked in. The front desk staff (CHRIS) was absolutely amazing and extremely accommodating. HOWEVER, when we arrived to the room the sheets had stains on them along with the pillow cases. We requested a second set of sheets, those sheets also arrived at our room with stains on them. I went to take a shower, and most of the towels that were supposed to be clean were also Soiled and disgusting. The hotel is laid out nice, but whoever the housekeeping staff is, doesn’t give a d*** about anything. They don’t care if things are still stained. Someone made the bed with stains on the sheets and had no care in the world about it. I don’t even think they changed the linens before I checked into the room to be completely honest. If it wasn’t Christmas I would’ve left this hotel and went to another one, but during a holiday that isn’t the easiest thing to do. I hope that there’s a Microtel at Wyndham manager reading this and does some research into who completed the housekeeping this holiday because this type of service is not only disgusting but it’s unsanitary. I think the Motel 8 has a better housekeeping staff than this hotel and I paid a total of $370 for 2 nights. I guess you get what you pay for. If you have an option to stay at another hotel I would recommend it, your health could Potentially be at risk if you stay here."

"Easy location and comfy rooms. Service is terrible. You get a different answer every time you talk to the front desk. One person told us we would have a crib and that they noted it on our reservation. They also told us we could early check in so our toddler can nap. When we called to confirm early check in they denied check in and said they didn’t have a crib. They ended up giving us a pack and play (thankfully) stating that they are under new management and now they rent them out with a charge. Would have been nice to know ahead of time. I have my own pack and play that I chose not to bring because I was told they have cribs. We ended up not getting charged for the pack and play. That night we had to go to the front desk three times due to the LOUD music coming from the room above us. We put a sound machine and heater on to try and not hear it. Let’s just say we checked out at 5am with a really tired and super inconsolable toddler and no one cared."

"The desk staff and housekeeping were always very pleasant and helpful. Monique, nightshift, was particularly helpful when I called several times with questions prior to my arrival. The location at The Village at Waugh Chapel is great. The room was very clean as well as quiet. The only complaint is that the beds were extra firm."

"The staff was as very helpful and got me checked in sooner as a room was already ready. For the price I paid in this area, I was not expecting it to be as nice as it is, having a good set of amenities and lots of space. It's right across from a massive shopping center, making it good if needed for an extended stay."
