Berger Square Apartments

"The elevator is constantly out of service. The building has numerous residents that are disabled and can’t get out of the building for appointments, dialysis etc…. The management (company) has made no concessions for the residents considering the inconvenience. The elevator was out for 4 days in the past week, fixed for 1 day then back out of service again!! That is totally unacceptable not to mention a safety issue and a violation of ADA housing regulations!!! This is a reoccurring issue that has yet to be resolved!!!"

"Multiple phone calls unanswered. Multiple emails with only a computer response with empty promises of contact. Went to the apartment only to find the posted hours are a fantasy. Also, the new days posted on the door are also fake. We were there when someone was suppose to be there and I am guessing they just weren’t feeling it that day. Apparently they don’t need people to rent the apartments. What a shame."

"I’ve known of the property since it first opened in 2016; at which time there was a long waiting list. The property since, is under new ownership, Habitat America, and management. The issue now is customer service; the phones are not manned, messages are not returned. When you decide to show up because of the lack of service, then you are told that you should make an appointment; but how if you are not able speak a human being to actually make said “appointment”? I was there for close to 2+ hours last week waiting to submit my application and view the available apartments, and still left without seeing them because, again, I showed up instead of “making an appointment”. I know it’s very unfortunate that with my experience thus far I am still hopeful to be approved; but it’s the only place offers exactly what I’m looking for and within my budget. Hopeful future tenant"

"Recently I applied to live at Berger Square because I heard they were under new management. I didn’t hear great things in the past, so I was hesitant. However I went on a tour just to see and form an opinion myself. I was approved and I’m excited to move. The woman in the leasing office was very professional and polite. She held my hand and kept me informed throughout the application process. I was truly impressed. If my living experience is the same as my leasing experience I know this will be a great place to live. Fingers crossed!"

"I have lived at Berger Square since they opened back in 2016. The first Property Manager was really good at ensuring the place was up to par, cleaned, and that maintenance requests were completed in a timely fashion. However, the place has gone down since then. Property Management and Maintenance is always changing, the carpet is dirty, the elevators break often. The place is very unorganized and it seems as that no one cares about the residents that live there. Recently, I've had maintenance issues and my concerns are not being addressed properly. I'm a great tenant, pay my rent on time, my daughter and I are quiet, we don't damage the property and this issue is quite concerning to me."
