"For an apartment complex it's very nice, definitely the nicest apartment I ever lived in. Best location too. Right near just about everything you could possibly want. Pet policies is a bit odd I think in the way that just a doctor's note for an emotional support animal is not enough. There is actually paperwork that needs to be done by both you and your doctor. And it the first apartment I have lived in that do not allow fish as a pet. Not even one in a small tank."
"I've lived at northwind apartments for 4 years,the first year was fine but don't let domestic violence happen,you'll be evicted and they will do anything and everything to have you removed."
"On September 7th, I filled out an application with Northwinds Apartments in Gaylord, represented by Michigan Asset Group out of Traverse City. I also filled out and attached a $35 check for the background check. I was later called and notified that there was no availability and that there was no definite timeline when there would be availability. The lady I spoke to on the phone offered to shred my check but hang on to the application. I agreed and stated that should something come available, I would reissue a new check to complete the application process. On 10/8, while viewing my banking statement, low and behold I found a withdrawal for $35 by the Michigan Asset Group from a cashed check that was supposed to have been shredded a month earlier. I have contacted Michigan Asset Group and am waiting to hear back about a refund. This is not ok. The check should have been shredded immediately upon completion of and even before the phone call ended. Instead, it has been held onto for a month."
"I was told they have an open unit so I applied and paid the 35$ application fee. It's been over two weeks heard nothing they won't return my calls or emails or my NEMSCA case workers calls to tell me if I was approved or denied, ect. Very suspicious since they told me it takes 10 minutes to process the application on my first conversation with them. Has anybody else encountered this also?"
"The place is clean people are nice it has secure doors camera system inside and out for residents safety it's right next to the walking path and snowmobile trail close to downtown for walking and dining and a new park that's going up right next to it."
