"We were disappointed with this hotel and will not be back. Here are the positives: comfortable clean bed and good location. The front desk staff, luggage attendant and bar/restaurant staff were very kind and helpful. The negatives: we had no hot water for most of our first day (cold shower in the winter?!). It was not fixed within the hour as promised. The kind front desk attendant waived the daily wifi/gym use fee and told us to speak with the manager upon check out. The manager did not care and did nothing to remedy the situation. He did not even apologize nor explain for the lack of hot water. It was shocking to receive such poor customer service from a manager of the hotel. As a former hotel chain employee, this was inexcusable behavior. In addition, we had no telephone in the room to call front desk. I had to use my cellphone to google the hotel phone number. Hot water and a telephone are very basic necessities for a hotel to provide. No coffee machine in room. No bathrobes as depicted on the website. This is a 2 star hotel and not worth the price paid."

"Decent sized room that was clean and presentable. I liked that they give you a $29 credit to their bar area. The location is pretty good for some local shopping and it's a close enough walk to Times Square. All-in-all a good hotel for a decent price."

"The front desk staff were awesome. Our 2-bed room was tight fit. For some reason housekeeping threw away our food, napkins, and utensils. The hotel is at a good location between touristy places and what seems like local spots."

"This is a great hotel, we really enjoyed it. Staff were super friendly and great! The restaurant/bar was a great experience (thanks Alexis!), with good pricing too. Room was very nice, and the location of this hotel is really convenient - just a couple blocks walk to Times Square. Overall I really liked this place, and will definitely be back for a family trip. Thanks Distrikt!"

"Upon arrival the hotel seemed small and not as fancy as you would think, but once you enter the staff made everything exceed expectation. When you first walk in you are greeted by a friendly face with a smile. Check in was quick and we were given an upgrade without even asking. I don't recall the woman's name but she was so friendly and went above and beyond to explain the "resort fees" and the credits that we had available to us. There were also a few men that were there that provided help when needed and would ask my husband and I if we needed any help with our bags or needed help getting to a specific location in NYC. They also came out of the hotel when I was being approached by a transient on the street to make sure that I was safe and not being bothered. (This wasn't a usual thing as the area was safe) They were professional and very helpful. The room was well sized for a NYC hotel room and the bed and linen were very nice. The bathroom was nice but the shower door sounded like it was going to break every time we opened and closed it. When we asked for extra towels and for our trash to be taken out they sent someone up immediately and the gentleman came in emptied the trash and gave us more than enough towels to get us through to the next day when we were checking out. The bartenders were friendly and nice as well. The location was great because it is right next to the port authority and it was easy to grab a subway or bus to get anywhere. There is also a taxi stop right up the street which made it nice when getting a ride to the airport. We will definitely be back! A huge thank you to the staff that made our stay so wonderful and made us feel like royalty."
