"The location is only good thing here, our experience was terrible. Stayed here over Christmas 2023 (21st to 28th) and paid top rates with expectation of a 4 star hotel. The rooms are small and bedding was poor. No extra blankets just a mattress cover and quilt for a double bed. Poor service from both housekeeping and front desk, had to ask on 3 seperate occasions for toilet after room had been serviced by housekeeping, all they did was make the bed, trash not taken out regularly nor wiped down of bathroom, and there are no kitchen amenities to speak of in the rooms (Kettle, glasses, mugs) despite our booking form and their website claiming so. We had only a fridge that didn’t work due to electrical fault and when we reported our issues to the Night Manager his response was the fridge is not for guests to utilise?! He was extremely dismissive and appeared annoyed I had reported it and wasted his time. If you are for a 4 star this place isn't it, we travelled all way from Australia on our honeymoon for Christmas celebrations in New York and it is not at all how it looks on the website. The poor reviews here are very true of our experience and Disappointing doesn't even cover how this impacted our travel here."

"4.5/5. Location was great, there is a good restaurant on the first floor as well As several options nearby. Staff was friendly. Amenities in the room and decor were very good. The bathroom floor is heated! This was a huge plus for us as we were there in January. The only reason for the 0.5 deduction is that if anyone was talking in the hallway, we could easily hear it in the room. However, there was no sound transfer between the rooms."

"Great location, sane prices, good rooms, fantastic staff. A gem among NY hotels. I have enjoyed every stay at this hotel. The rooms are not large, this is NY and I have rarely had a large room in the city, but they are very comfortable. The free WiFi is good, I am able to work on my laptop just fine. The hotel has a nice restaurant but it is also very easy walking to good food both fancy and budget."

"This hotel is in a great location and a decent price, but aside from that, the experience was not that great. The building has a very low efficiency rating and that was evident by the draft which was easily felt near the window. The lighted mirror was non functioning and the shower mixer valve wouldn’t stay in one spot, so you had to hold it yourself so that you don’t get scalded. After our first of three nights, the heater stopped blowing hot air so we woke up freezing. Had to leave quickly but told the front desk that afternoon and they promptly sent the hotel engineer who did no diagnostics, but said he would reset the system and it should start blowing warm air in about 5 minutes. All he did was switch the breaker on and off. This absolutely nothing and I called back down to the front desk again. They said they would have the engineer come back. I never heard back from the front desk or the engineer. We had to leave for a show about 45 later and when we came back, it still was not blowing hot air. It was late, so we threw on a bunch of clothes and froze again. When we checked out the next morning the front desk apologized but didn’t offer anything to compensate for 2 nights without heat and the lack of effort from the staff the night before. Very disappointed."

"I would rate 0 overall if I could. We stayed in our room about 75 minutes before checking out and going to another hotel: The staff was beyond rude. The “lobby” was dark, dark, probably to hide how dirty it was. I would never had stayed here if I just saw it while walking by. I wasted a ton of money on the penthouse. The stairs to the second floor of the penthouse probably aren’t even fire-safe, super narrow and steep. The floor looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in ages. My husband’s feet were off the bed when we lay down for a nap after checking in ( he is 6’ tall). The room was freezing - I don’t think the heat was working (December 1st), and you could hear ALL the traffic below. Whatever you do, stay away."
