“Lovely apartment, very helpful at reception, even very kindly, looked after my suitcases after my checkout time, until the evening... Bed was comfortable but the bottom sheet was too small to fit.... Would definitely stay again.”

“The stay was faultless. Easy check in and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere and the place seems very well managed. Ample good parking and well located for easy driving to Knaresborough and Harrogate. York is easily accessible by train from Knaresborough. Lovely, extensive building full of old oak beams and different drinking/dining areas. Rooms are well sized, clean with good facilities. Room pricing (everywhere) seems to have become more extensive with numerous booking options and room rates quite variable (even winter, week to week). We seem to have benefitted from what we imagine were all the doubles being booked, though we don't actually know. We (2 of us) paid for/booked a 'double room', which turned out to also be the 'family quad room' same room pictured on website. No complaints that way round obviously but I presume it would have been unlucky if we had booked the family room in the first place. I think showing images of the actual room offered rather than 'a typical double' is better but few establishments do that. What ever room you book, a great stay will be had and I/we highly recommend The Kestrel and all staff.”

“As a local WI group we booked afternoon tea here and fully enjoyed our third annual visit. The food served was good quality with varied dessert items. Tea/coffee was plentiful with alcoholic drinks an optional extra. All the staff were excellent and provided great customer service and are truly a credit to the hotel. Looking forward to our next visit.”

“Oh we're to start ., we travelled from Staffordshire to attend a competition , booked hotel room and meal , the food is absolutely mouth watering ! Five star to the chef -and the team ! Thank you so much for great hospitality, and after care with a packed lunch to take with us to tue competition as it was a long 10 hour day ! This touch was beyond going the extra mile in customer service ! Will be back again !! Keep up the great work !”

“Absolutely lovely little hotel, stayed here with my partner for her birthday. Lovely couple who own it, we had a problem finding the key and they immediately helped us. Bed was comfy, clean with full bathroom facilities. Room was modern, clean and warm with a TV that had Netflix, iTV hub, and more. Would stay again 100%”

“Only went for afternoon tea, but long enough to see how gorgeous the building and rooms are. The staff are really, really friendly and helpful, all of them. Felt very warm and welcoming, not in the slightest bit stuffy, quite an achievement for such a high end venue. Would love to return at some point.”

“Stunning building with lovely clean rooms. Massive variety of food for breakfast. Every member of staff had a smile and a glow about them which was lovely to see. Can't fail this place at all. Even a bus stop outside direct into York city centre. If I could give you a tip it would be to book ahead for a table at the fat abbott. It gets very busy.we will definitely be back. “Fantastic 3 night stay at Limes Hotel. To start with the cleanliness of the rooms is spotless not an inch of dust, food on a breakfast tray with everything you could want. Not just the rooms but the whole hotel very clean and beautiful place for the price. Not to forget the warm welcome staff deliver. All round fantastic stay! Would highly recommend this to everybody.”

“I stayed at this hotel for a conference but I’d be happy to stay there for any reason. The room was perfect, the communal areas were even better. The food was sublime and the catering for the conference was as good as restaurant food. The best thing about this hotel was the staff, they were friendly and attentive. 100% recommend. The car park is a little expensive so plan in advance and don’t get caught out.”

“A 5 day Christmas getaway to York by train made this Premier Inn an easy choice. A short walk from the train station with the facility to leave my luggage, ensuring I could make the most of my arrival and departure days. You know what you're getting with Premier Inn and South Blossom Street was no different. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable double bed, clean room with TV, free WiFi (upgradeable if required), Desk and Chair, sofa bed, kettle, mugs, glasses, as much tea, coffee,  sugar  and milk as you require, en-suite with bath and shower over. Towels, soap, and shower gel provided. Rooms cleaned, and  towels changed at your request. Plenty of power sockets are available for all your electrical gadgets. I also noticed an HDMI port to connect to the TV. Keycard system in use allowing guest only access 24/7. There was a Table Table Restaurant at this Premier Inn, which I did not use.”

“One of the best sleeps I've ever had! Both me and my partner had to ask what type of mattress they use as we are certainly buying one!! Location was brilliant, close enough to walk comfortably but far enough away from the chaos (we went at Christmas time). Definitely would stay again”

“There are some very mixed reviews for this hotel but we had no issues at all. The room was easily the largest Premier Inn room we've stayed in, the corridors are wide enough to drive a car through and everywhere was spotlessly clean. There was aircon which we didn't use, a rainfall shower, plenty of TV channels to choose from and a fairly reliable if somewhat slow Internet. The only slight negative was the price of the car park at £14 per night but that's about the going rate in York where everything is expensive. We would be very happy to stay there again and would recommend it.”

“Very friendly staff and clean warm rooms. Easy to walk into York and pretty quiet at night. Didn't eat in the restaurant although that appeared to be popular at breakfast and was good value. Parking is free until 5pm on your departure day which is another bonus. Definitely recommended.”

“Absolutely delightful Art Deco building throughout. Rooms are large and nicely presented and exceptionally clean. We only had breakfast at the hotel as their famous restaurant is actually not dog friendly while the hotel is, and the food at breakfast was really high quality. Service is very good too”

“Stayed here for my 50th birthday weekend. We stayed here over 20 years ago. It's still as lovely. Perfect location which is so quiet but a very short walk from the pubs and restaurants on Otley Road. A great location for exploring Leeds on foot, as we did. We'll definitely be back!!”

“We went here for our Christmas Dinner with some of the people from our street. lts not my first time here I've been here a couple of times before, but that was to funerals It wasa decorated out lovely and the table were set out nice, so we could all see each other, the staff were very nice and helpful, they were all very pleasant and friendly. The food was lovely, very tasty, and hot as it was busy they did well to keep it all warm and the dessert was gorgeous. I'm disabled and it was very accessible and the toilets were too. We didn't stay there, so I can't coment on the hotel. All in all we had a lovely time.”

The queen's is in the City walls and walking distance into the main shopping bit I would recommend the queen's Hotel”

“My Grandparents stayed with you this weekend and as a family we're blown away by the service we were given. You even accommodated 8 of us, who weren't guests, to dine for breakfast and ensure all our needs were met, including ordering off menu. Rooms are beautiful as is the bar area, breakfast area and dining areas. The food served was excellent but most of all your staff are amazing. Each and every one of you were welcoming and friendly and couldn't do enough to help. Aga deserves an extra special mention for going above and beyond to make my grandparents and the rest of us comfortable and checking everything was perfect. We will definitely return!
