“Really nice premier inn, right in the city centre by the bus station but the rooms were quiet and comfortable. Staff were very friendly as well. Need the key to enter the building at night so felt safe.”

“Lovely place to visit. Came with the family. Friendly staff and inviting, unlike it use to be as never really felt welcome. The kids cinema room and colouring area went down a treat as did the outside play area. The food was lovely quality and we didn't have to wait long for food between each serving. The decor was lovely and went well as a theme. The staff were very helpful and couldn't have done anymore to welcome us.”

“Back again! Busier this visit, but the staff are still as attentive and always have time for a chat. I was incredibly tired when I arrived and the staff gave me a room out of the way which was very much appreciated. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast is great, lots of selection and the staff whizzing around keeping everywhere clean. Check-in and out is easy, everything just seems to flow nicely at this hotel with professional and knowledgeable staff. Great place to stay.”

“Overall we had a good stay and the room was clean,the bed was amazing! The only 2 things things I will say is that the room was extremely hot there was a fan provided however it didn't really have enough power to cool the room and in the bathroom there was no toilet brush which would have been nice. We had breakfast in the restaurant but was put off by the ants that were crawling around on the table and along the wall beside us which I did mention to a member of staff but everything else was perfect.”

“If you've got a car location is no problem but without one it's a taxi ride to Derby centre (£6-10 depending on the firm). No complaints about the hotel, staff, service, cleanliness or the night's sleep. All great.”

“Clean and tidy rooms drinks and food in pub next door very good we had the carvery on the Saturday with a bottle of wine and a pint for 37 pounds staff and manager very friendly check in for hotel is done in the pub bar not a problem to us”

“Very warm welcome from friendly staff. Our room was clean and spacious. The decor in our room was a bit tired but for 3 blokes watching the football, it wasn't a problem at all. The beer was cold, food was good, we will stay again if we play Derby again.”

“We attended for my sister's hen do weekend. The room we had was really nice, aspects of it needed touching up (windows and shower was poor) however the beds were incredibly comfortable. The receptionists were very welcoming and friendly and helpful and the location is perfect as everything is within 15 minute's drive. Would stay again!”

“The room was perfectly clean and everything worked as it should. The bed was huge and really very comfortable. We didn't visit the pub across from us because we only stayed the one night to visit Alton Towers but it's very handy to have it there. Also, the man who checked us in was very polite and helpful. We would definitely stay again, well worth the money”

“A great real ale pub close to Derby station, worth the trip from other parts of the country if you’re both into real ale locally brewed and lots of train memorabilia. Helpful labels on the hand pumps to tell you what beers are locally made too.”

Enjoyed the atmosphere of eating in the sunny orangery overlooking the extensive grounds.. with good food not an enormous menue (always a good sign as obvs freshly cooked!) and a friendly service. Felt relaxed after a great night's sleep.”

“If you are planning to stay in Derby for more than a week, this is the best place. City centre is walkable and you get range of restaurants which serve you variety of food choices. Facility is too good for the price. Staff are Also very friendly.”
