Hilton at St George's Park, Burton Upon Trent
● Open“Reception staff were amazing, going above and beyond to accommodate my sister's family after we arrived having mistakenly booked only one room instead of two - and the hotel was officially full... and the 2 men at the pool were equally helpful and friendly, finding us space to use the pool which again was officially fully booked. Thank you, customer service at its best”

Breadsall Priory Marriott Hotel & Country Club
● OpenMoor Road, Morley, Ilkeston DE7 6DL, United Kingdom“Family weekend, with a mobility restricted adult and a picky teenager. The welcome was warm and professional- we needed a room that was easy to get to with a person of limited mobility and our requirements had been understood and addressed. The sprawling site was a little off putting but the hotel thoughtfully arranged a golf buggy (and driver) to help ferry the less mobile member of the group around and were responsive when asked at 10 mins notice when we needed to get around. The staff are friendly and engaging, the food is very nice and the menu was varied. The pool is a nice size and well maintained with decent changing rooms and pleasant staff. Wifi is fine and easy to access. None of us are golfers , but the golfers seemed happy enough... so if that's your thing I'd say go for it. Special mention to Charlotte who was an absolute gem!”

Makeney Hall Hotel
● Open“What a lovely, lovely place this is. From the minute we walked in and were greeted by the super friendly front of house staff who went out of their way to provide a perfect space for me to do some work, to the bar and servers at dinner and the lovely crew at breakfast, everything was truly great. Food was very good, we had lunch, dinner and breakfast and all were delicious. The rooms were spacious, ours was enormous with a separate sitting room and lovely roll top bath - the only issue being that showering was really messy as no shower curtain was provided. We will definitely return as soon as possible.”

Premier Inn Ashby De La Zouch hotel
● Open“Met with a friendly face and a lovely note in our room. The room was clean and comfortable. Plenty for breakfast and it was tasty. Staff were very helpful and always cheery. Only downside TV kept glitching. Breakfast would be mora accessible and easier to access if it was laid on a table rather than the bar. And our toilet wouldn't fill with water the morning we checked out.”

The raspberry cheesecake was to die for but all the cakes were delicious. Scones really light. The two young people serving us were so polite and attentive (a young man and lady). Can't rate it highly enough. Lovely decor. Superb location. Must book to go back again soon. Highly recommend it.”

Premier Inn Burton On Trent Central hotel
● OpenWellington Road, Burton upon Trent, Burton-on-trent DE14 2WD, United Kingdom“Better than the last time I've been here, would totally recommend. It's value for money, clean and staff has been attentive and lovely. They've also changed their shower/hand soap to Baylis and Harding and it smells absolutely lovely. I've stayed at Holiday Inn in Burton last year and was charged for parking in their own carpark, which I find quite absurd. Premier Inn on the other hand has free parking. Check-in has also been swift and easy. So I'll definitely be back in Premier Inn!”

Ibis budget
● Open“Highly recommend this place. The room is small and basic, which I was happy with. We took the family room for 2 adults and 1 kid. They have a bunk bed above the double. Not suitable for under 6s, though an adult can sleep up there. Both the room and toilet were very, very clean. They have coffees and teas at the door you can help yourself to. They also have booze, pizzas and a selection of foods at door too. I'd have to say I got a great sleep. The room was quiet and bed & pillows very comfortable.”
