“A ‘hidden gem’ right in the middle of Melbourne! We popped in today for a bit of lunch and were pleasantly surprised to find a lovely tapas type menu (a bit different from the usual Melbourne coffee and cake type cafe). The staff were very pleasant and accommodating and the food and drinks are well priced. Well worth a visit.”

“Visited for the oktoberfest party on Saturday just gone. Couldn't fault it, service was great, band were awesome, food was lovely! My friend who booked it forgot to tell the venue that I'm plant based but this wasn't a problem as we were asked about dietary requirements at the table and they offered a plant based platter for me which was unexpected and really tasty! I live in Kent but if I was closer I would visit more often.”

“A delightful family restaurant in an unexpected location in the Derby suburbs. Very comfortable, with friendly service and nicely cooked, well presented food. The traditional Sunday Roast is excellent, and there are two/three course priced menus. The wine list is very good, with some niche wines at great value prices. Booking essential. “First Visit Today Will Definitely be Returning! Hot chocolate was lovely with proper fresh cream & luxurious dark chocolate. We also had a bacon cob which was lovely they asked how we wanted our bacon (which is rare in my opinion) and it came out on a lovely fresh cob. The staff were pleasant and friendly. “One of the best Cafes I have been too. A very wide selection of hot and cold fresh foods. Service excellent. Poor parking is the only downfall but the staff even try to help by bringing the food to you outside the cafe if you give them a call.”

“We went to the cafe last night for a female bike night meet up and it was amazing. The cafe is clean, open and airy. The staff are friendly and very helpful. “Lovely people, lovely bubble tea, lovely food. But very compact and busy nowadays over time it has become everyones favourite little coffee shop, but if your going to town in a busy period expect to struggle to move about and look at the stock. It is a lovely lovely place 100% recomend just think they need to upgrade to somewhere a little bigger now. (I recommend take away not eat in)”

Whilst none of the places have disappointed in the least, our visit to The Potting Shed was the most enjoyable. The external setting, the interior ambiance, the delightful staff and the deliciously fresh, home-cooked food all combined to make our visit relaxing and deeply satisfying. We look forward to regular visits to The Potting Shed, even after our kitchen is back in action!”
