"Scheduled a tour a week ago. Arrived on time to check out the apartment, no one answered the phone. Edit: I got a phone call after leaving this review. They had emailed me prior but I missed the email. Wished they called me earlier, who knows if they would have even called me if I hadn't left this review."

"1,2,3 non a.c bhk are available. Secured garage parking, need gate access for entering into building and also has mailbox. Small gym and laundry room available in each floor. I see lot of India people living here. Manager is nice and responds quick to emails, helped us a lot in moving to new renovated unit from old apt unit. Every apt has a balcony. Maintenance requests are resolved asap. Pest control service is available upon request on every Tuesday. Users can Login to Renaissance website to make maintanence requests, make payment. Would have been better if there is play area for kids and clubhouse. Easy access to Superior Grocers, rite aid, cvs pharmacy, EI super, Popeyees, Carl's jr, drake park, Renaissance arts school, kindergarten, taco bell, Ross, 99 cents, Walgreens, St Mary hospital, chase bank and so on."

"Lived here a year and overall enjoyed my time. Property was well maintained and I enjoyed the monthly newsletters. Cynda in the leasing office is great. My only complaint and reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is the noise level. I lived on the 3rd floor and the people above me were really noisy and had kids (or maybe it was the adults) running and dropping things all the time. I could hear everything from them jumping, talking, to getting out of bed in the middle of the night. I think the wall structure combined with their excessive noise made it harder to enjoy. Occasionally some bizarre behavior and noises from strangers outside in the middle of the night (homeless/mentally ill/domestic disputes) but that's expected in most parts of Cali. Despite those things, I would still highly recommend! Close to the beach and Pine. Never had any bugs in my apartment and that's a huge plus."

"I lived at Renaissance Terrace for a year up until I recently moved. I very much enjoyed living there! Cynda, the leasing manager, was very attentive and kind. When I made the initial outreach to see if they had availability, she offered a tour within the week and answered all my questions. She checked in with me a month into my lease to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. Always super responsive via email when needed. Alfonso, our go-to for maintenance concerns, was also very responsiveness, kind, and efficient. I saw George all around the complex as he was cleaning and he was always fun to chat with. The security guard at nighttime was very present and nice to talk to in passing. The rent was amazing for what I got out of it - all units have a balcony with ample storage space on the side, gated garage underneath, and room for my dog to play outside. My unit was renovated prior to move-in. Not one issue during my lease. The noise level was manageable but you can definitely hear those around you and in the courtyard - was never an issue for me. Packages were secured in lockers inside the gate and managed through an app. Laundry services and small gym spaces are available on every floor. I loved the monthly newsletters left on my door with recipes, crossword puzzles, and updates for the complex. I liked that communication was made easy with an app where I could pay my rent and request maintenance. My neighbors were quite friendly but I stayed to myself most of the time. I wasn't fond of the area surrounding the complex as it wasn't always safe but with the gated parking and gated entry, it didn't bother me too much or I never had an issue. All in all, wish I could have stayed longer and would recommend it!"

"Had been searching all over, found this place and reserved a unit online and within about a day it was confirmed. Very easy move-in, helpful staff, Alfonso is fantastic and an asset to the community, George is super friendly and the new Community Manager is great too! Seems to be a great mix of working professionals, families, seniors and a few students. The place is generally quiet, it only gets a little loud in the courtyard during the summer, when families and their kids play there. Which I will take over other issues, any day. I have been very happy here, the location is literally at the border of 2 very different communities (middle/upper vs. low income) and is gentrifying very quickly. The units are older but well maintained and are in the process of being renovated. I would be very happy to live here until I bought my own place, given what I pay and what I get."
