Holiday Inn Long Beach Airport, an IHG Hotel

"I contacted the front desk regarding a plumbing issue at 8AM, and it's been 40 minutes since then. Despite my request for another room to utilize the shower/restroom facilities, I was informed that they were fully booked. An hour and a half later, I have yet to receive any alternative accommodation to prepare for my conference. Furthermore, the maintenance team has encountered difficulties, including breaking the snake in the pipe while attempting repairs. Upon completing the repairs at 10:04 AM, we had to request for housekeeping to cleanup the tub and sink areas. I am deeply disappointed by the lack of satisfactory guest services provided. Housekeeping does a good job and the servers in the lounge are awesome! While the hotel shows promise, there is a clear need for guest services staff retraining to meet the standards expected of a Holiday Inn establishment."

"Older place, no frills hotel. The staff were nice, my room was clean. I have had more comfortable beds, no microwave, decent internet service."

"Arrived today. We decided to stay here before our cruise. The room is old outdated the wallpaper is bubbled the bathtub has mold in the grout very disappointed the room is dingy and dark . Holiday Inn has gone down hill. Only good thing is there's plenty of places to get food and we're only here 24 hours."

"At the time of my stay there, this hotel had one out of two elevators working. There are no microwaves in the rooms. So if you need one it's located in the hotel lobby. Also reservation personnel is scarce. If you need assistance otherwise, pray that somebody will answer your call. There was only one manager in charge of two hotels on the same property. The phone and alarm clock were out of order. No freebies here. Lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash products are bolted to the wall in their respective areas. If you take a bath you would need to dispense product(s) from the shower height station where they are affixed on the back wall. No hotel literature of any kind was available in the room. The seafood chowder, PLEASE!!! If you finish it consider yourself a brave soul. After checking out I wanted a cup of coffee while waiting for my ride. Since the lobby did not have a traditional lounge or snack area in its lobby. The manager recommended that I go across the street to a Starbucks. Better still I wound up at the Chevron gas station. I only wish I had known about the gas station before I had that seafood concoction for dinner for dinner. I could have saved myself $40.00 for the meal."

"The room was very comfortable and clean. There was a refrigerator in the room, but no microwave. We paid approximately $100 for one night. They wanted extra money for a microwave. Their website said that they have continental breakfast, no food available whatsoever. I wasn't the only one looking for breakfast. The front desk clerk was not very pleasant. They did have airport shuttle, and paid for our taxi from Long Beach Airport to the hotel, since it was after their shuttle stopped for the day."
