"Banana suite was a really beautiful and spacious apartment, especially for the price (not sure I could find a single bed for cheaper anywhere in the area). If you want to stay a single night, you may have to call instead of reserving online."

"The only bad experience I had in Kauai. We arrived at 6:30 PM, took the key from the empty front desk (cause it is "after hours") and needed to drive to a different location. We end up staying in a house called Waimea Inn and not the lodge. The pictures on google are misleading. False advertising ! When we entered our room the toilet didn't work (!!!), the floor was extremely dirty, the AC was so noisy it was like a helicopter is landing in the room and there was a constant beeping from the fire alarm sensor. I tried to contact the owner so they will send someone over to fix the toilet but there was no answer- not over the phone nor emails. We ended up fixing the toilet ourselves(!) The morning after I drove to the front desk again, thinking someone will be there but it was empty again, even though it was on "working hours". The lady finally responded by email, and didn't even apologized ! She just said she will send someone over, and the guy indeed came but way too late. It really feels like the owner just want to cash out on your money and do no work. Horrible service level."

"First off, Carol at West Kauai Lodging was super helpful and lovely to work with. She was responsive and helped us with a last minute booking. The Inn is very cute and has old Hawai’i charm. Would absolutely stay here again. Note: Check in is a short window from 3-5pm so make sure to plan accordingly!"

"A bit complicated to get to the reception which was located in a different building. The building is dated but the room was very spacious and clean. Small A/C that was enough to keep the room slightly fresh with windows closed. For the price, we would stay again. Free parking."

"DO NOT STAY HERE! I informed the woman who answers the phone that I would not be in until after 8pm - she told me the name of my room and said that the door would be unlocked for me. When I arrived, my room was locked. I called every number I had for the house (it is not a hotel, it's a house), but nobody answered. I ended up having to sleep in my CAR, which was freezing at night, and extremely uncomfortable. I called the woman over 20 times requesting a refund and she just never refunded me the $120 (lots of fees) that I had spent on a room. Detestable customers service, management, and leadership. Horrible location in a sketchy area as well. Don't risk it!"
