"I advise everyone to not stay here. My aunty booked with them two rooms and tried to get a refund several months in advanced to us landing in Kauai, and they didn’t let her get a refund. So she ended up giving us the room to stay. We were grateful until we got to the place. It’s in a sketchy area , there was a cronik outside our room who tried to get in the door numerous times. Why do we have to come on a vacation and have druggies bother us all day long? Na ! Anyways we get into the place & everything is OLD. I get the historic feeling , but no. It’s dirty. Dusty. Feels haunted. There’s literally nothing to like in this INN. I tried to be nice and get something good out of this place but I can’t. Bathrooms dirty, bed sheets dirty, we ended up using our own sheets and sleeping on our bags for pillow. Showers weren’t scrubbed, just everything dirty. Doesn’t feel like you’re in a nice area , it feels like you’re in a haunted mansion. And the office was a whole nother building away from the INN. Really tried to be nice, but I would never recommend this place to even my worse enemy. DO NOT STAY HERE! Pilau!"
"We really enjoyed this place. Our room was lovely and had a couple fans and AC. Quiet and clean. We loved the old character of the historic home. There’s a big porch with comfy chairs. The beach is half a block away and was beautiful for walking, although the water there was turbid and I didn’t see anyone swimming there. There’s also an excellent smoothie spot a few minutes walk away."
"I stayed five nights in April 2023, and just loved the feel of the old Inn, and the experience of living with local Hawaiians. The location close to Big Save and small shops and restaurants was good and of course the ocean and pier were so close. I felt like an islander. The Bamboo Suite was great. Guests were friendly and Carol was lovely and efficient. Hope to return for the sunsets. Wendy (Vancouver Island, Canada)"
"We loved this place! It was simple, quaint, and comfortable in a great location — one block from the beach in one direction and one block from the main drag (restaurants and grocery stores) in the other. Bed was nice, fridge and other furniture sufficient, parking ample, with a nice porch, too. Bamboo room is one half of the second floor, with lots of windows. Would definitely stay here again!"
"A charming upstairs accommodation with a comfortable bed, good shower pressure and hot water, a fine selection of television, and ample space. The AC in the bedroom is great. The sitting room would have been more comfortable if there had been one there as well but not a worry. The fridge temp was a bit too cold and it froze a couple of my food and drinks."
