Reviews
"Edit - Echoing other recent reviews. Car towed as a resident of over a year because I had the wrong sticker on my car and forgot to swap the blue and red with my partner. I was charged $330. An absolute abomination of a situation. I can’t recommend this properly at all based in how little they care about current residents. My partner and I have put together an initial review after living here for two months. To gain a comprehensive understanding of what you're investing your hard-earned money into, read our complete review. Let's start with the positives: The staff is excellent. The amenities are top-notch. The location is prime. The apartments are 80% superb. The community is friendly and welcoming. The environment is quiet. Moving on to the less desirable aspects: The apartment was not properly cleaned before we moved in. We filled an entire vacuum bag with dust and found hair from the previous tenants scattered throughout the apartment. It was a distasteful experience. These apartments are 80% luxury (with high-quality appliances and major fixtures), while 20% of the elements seem to be of Ikea quality. The blinds on every window and door are very cheap, akin to $10 Walmart blinds. The doors, faucets, showerheads, and hanging racks for towels and clothes are not up to the mark. Within a month of moving in, we had to submit five maintenance requests. The issues included broken blinds, a screen door off its track, an electrical breaker going out on three separate occasions, and the AC completely breaking down for a day until it was fixed. If you order from Amazon or any service other than UPS, FedEx, or USPS, your package may be left at the entrance because carriers other than these three do not have the code to enter the building. Packages are left unattended almost daily (at the entrance, lobby, and outside the mailroom door). While we haven't heard of theft, it's concerning that an expensive order could be taken without anyone noticing. Management needs to address this problem to prevent potential thefts of high-value packages. In conclusion, for the $2300 a month we pay for a two-bedroom, two-bath unit, we expected luxury at every turn and all minor details to be perfectly taken care of. However, that is not what we received. While this is a comfortable living space, it does have issues, particularly with the units themselves and the ongoing package delivery problems. This is not a reflection on the staff – they've been wonderful. It is a critique of Bigos Management's overall operation. We would recommend Nuvelo if you're seeking a peaceful place to live and can afford it. However, if you prioritize luxury and attention to detail, Nuvelo may not meet your expectations. They fall short in these aspects. While I can overlook several issues for $1200 a month, for nearly $2400, I anticipated more."
"BE CAUTIONED: Nuvelo's association with an F-rated, non-accredited towing company teetering on bankruptcy is a recipe for disaster. Imagine your vehicle being towed, sustaining damage, and facing ridicule from an unscrupulous towing company. Adding insult to injury, the management washes their hands of any responsibility, leaving you stranded with no recourse but the daunting prospect of legal battles in a courtroom."
"After having lived in Apartments nearly all my life, I believe what makes a great apartment community is the staff. I for one cannot say enough about the staff at Nuvelo! They have been nothing short of friendly, inviting, helpful and most importantly honest and transparent. The amenities are top notch as well. It's location is quiet yet convenient for getting to where you need to go. Nuvelo is also located next to a park so if the amenities don't speak to you, then the park will do it! KEEP READING!!!!! After several years, my view has definitely changed. Bigos is no different than any of the other apartment complexes. Come to find out, years of residency means very little. The amenities can be good but are only as good as the Team that provides them. it should also be noted that Nuvelo's planners created quite a parking issue. The Nuvelo lot gets patrolled daily by tow truck operators for visitors and residents without a permit in the window."
"Leaving a review of my time in Nuvelo so far. I have lived across the United States in different apartments over the past ten years. Some have been wonderful, some have been dreadful. All of them have always claimed to be "luxury apartments", so I feel that I have a fair bit of experience talking about this rental market. I have been more than thrilled with my time at Nuvelo, after 2 months of renting. I'm an Apple Valley native, so I may be a bit biased but the location is excellent. Centrally located with an underground parking garage is absolutely amazing in Apple Valley, pretty much everything you might need is within a 5 minute drive. It's also pretty walkable, which is a tough thing to say in the suburbs of the twin cities. One of the things that "luxury apartments" always seem to have in common is a modern exterior with a lot of "amenities" to sell the renter into signing a lease. Often, the actual units you rent from are cheap, made of low tier material, and incredibly bad at sound proofing. Not so here. Nuvelo's units are made of solid materials. The floors and walls are made of quality materials here, nothing about these units feel cheap. I'm very happy with what i have for the rent I am paying. (Full disclaimer: I am on the top floor, I cannot speak to noise of people above me... but on the top floor, it is dead silent here) Underground parking is an incredible amenity to have for free in a place like this. The on-site staff are also amazing. John in particular has helped me out numerous times, and as someone who has lived across the US, I had really missed how amazing people in the midwest can really be regarding customer service. Every time I submit a maintenance request it is addressed promptly, and we even have wonderful people working front desk concierge service that are excited to talk to you when you walk out the front door. The entire vibe from the staff here is incredibly friendly, and I love that. This is easily the best apartment unit I have rented from in the last ten years. It's newer, so I think that this unit is probably in it's prime. I know that over time these things tend to fade away, and someday this review will be laughably outdated, but as of 2023, I absolutely recommend renting here if you can afford it."
"Specifically about Bigos Management, they require ALL occupants 18 years or over to have their debt under $1000. It doesn't matter if you've met all the other requirements. If this is not you or others in your home. Don't apply and have your credit checked. Outside of that, Isaiah is a new employee and he did an exceptional job during the initial Phase. I can't blame him for the management company."
