"The good: I really liked that the apartment is in a quiet neighborhood, close to Forest Park. The bad: - There were problems with garbage filling up the trash rooms and even overflowing into the hallways. - The main elevator was out of order for weeks. - One of the only two treadmills frequently erred out so only one treadmill was practically usable. - Objects (flower pot and Halloween pumpkin, for example) fell from upper-floor balconies onto the "amenity deck" and made it unsafe for people to sit there. Some residents also habitually took their dogs to the amenity deck and didn't bother to pick up after their dogs. - Leasing staff wasn't very friendly and could be difficult to reach in-person or via the phone. I was a resident until earlier this year."
"Friendly office staff but they are unable to do anything beyond signing leases. Elevator is regularly broken. No lockout service. Additional charge to not have mail thrown in a pile on the floor. Gym is small but nice."
"We lived at Hibernia for two years, the management started out fine but then shortly after we went through three management changes back to back. We had an awful experience getting management to take care of an issue with a non resident drunk male who would hang around the dog park constantly with their highly aggressive and untrained dog. It felt really unsafe to go out there at night because the dog would constantly attack our dogs. The man still hangs around and management has done little to resolve this. There were also multiple instances of unannounced fire alarms that would last long periods of time without consideration of the residents working from home or who had small children. When new management took over they also decided to charge “retroactive charges” to all residents for water and sewage because the previous company did not charge us for that. Lastly, we lived across an apartment which was very obviously an AirbNB (there are many across the complex) which lead to a lot of noise issues due to the constant different guests coming in and out. All around would not recommend, many improvements to be made. It’s unfortunate because apart from the complex Dogtown is a wonderful neighborhood and i would’ve stayed longer if it weren’t for all the issues."
"****UPDATE***** 03/15/22 To the Owner response my name has nothing to do with my review!! It’s an email name it’s not my birth certificate! Furthermore You replied in a smart mouth tone instead of using your soft skills assuring you will start to make everyone feel equally the same! Don’t be ignorant! I bet Michele was the one whom responded as we’ll definitely looks like something she would say! I really hope we get new management soon! And if you were so focused on 5 star reviews it would be shown from previous residents. One of the new property managers at the Clayton location I believe her name is Michele Singler, very unpleasant to talk to and not welcoming at all and does not speak to the residents, we pay too much money here to feel as if we are not welcomed! Customer Service should be the main priority here, the other two are fine and don’t mind helping if we have an issue with the apartment. LaTasha & Chris should come back that group of managers really cared about the property and made residents feel welcome! You’d always see residents speaking highly of them, that’s the impression you should want as property managers honestly!"
"***UPDATE*** Since new management took over in July paying rent has been difficult. They send a link which you have to go to. The other management company used an app that had your lease information and where you can send in maintenance requests, and pay your rent. But all of that has changed. Also with the new management, good luck ever getting into contact with anyone. There is never anyone on-site and you usually have to leave a voicemail and they will call you back."
