"I and my wife initiated the leasing application in early July for the move in at the end of August. With the help of Veronica, we were able to get assigned to a unit and we were told that, that unit is not ready to be entered and viewable, as work is going on, so we looked at the unit from outside and requested Veronica, if there are any other units available for our move in date, to which she bluntly said no and said renovated apartments are available, which are a bit expensive. Here, by God's grace, we met Clay. Clay helped us by giving the list of units to select, I wonder why Veronica said there are no units available, and I also wonder why she treated as if we were not worth of being helped in selecting a unit. So, with the help of Clay, we were able to select a unit, with which we were very happy and got the lease finalized by the leasing office and by us too. But we came to know that the lease application got canceled, and that too we got to know this, when we called them, to help us in logging in resident portal. They canceled without our knowledge, and they did not even feel the need to let us know. On that day, Clay was on off, and I was trying to know why the lease got canceled and what I heard from Veronica baffled me. She was saying that I might have sent an email requesting for unit change, for which the lease got canceled. I wonder how anyone can blame so without knowing the reality. The next day, Clay, let us know that the lease got canceled because they wanted our unit to make it available for anyone who is moving early than us. And here we are waiting again for a new lease."
"AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! I have lived here less than a year and I have regretted it every second. My guest bedroom floods every time it rains and they said they would fix the problem and they never did. And back on December I had a pipe burst in my master bathroom and since then I've had a vanity sitting in my master bedroom. No apology provided and they showed no urgency to fix the situation. Not even a reduction in rent due to the issues in my apartment. And they only offered a transfer to another apartment 4 months after the fact. And when I refused transfer and tried to get out of my lease 2 weeks early they said I have to pay a fee to break my lease. Even though I've had problems since day one of moving in and I truly believe they couldn't care less as long as they get their rent money. They have new management but I highly doubt that this complex will get any better."
"I submitted a maintenance request in over a month ago informing them that I spotted mold above my patio door and a crack in my living room ceiling. On Tuesday my entire living room ceiling collapse and the leasing office is saying there is nothing they can do expect repairs. I have two kids and we are out of a place to stay and they aren’t trying to even provide us with an hotel due to the fact that the apartment is inhabitable."
"If I could get out of my lease I would. I was promised my building had amazing laundry facility in the basement. Pictured is mine. There are units people live in next to the mess you see pictured and no laundry machines work. Wires hanging down, water and a mess. I called the office and was told to bad, go to a laundromat. I have put in work orders for the last 3 months and still I do not have a working air conditioning system and I’m on the top floor. It never gets cooler than 80 to 85 with the ac running non stop. Maintenance shows up but can’t fix the vents and ductwork. They requested an outside vendor and so did I. I call the office and they say they don’t know anything about it. We have to sleep elsewhere because of the heat and we have asthma. So I’m paying rent just to stay someplace else. The moment I moved in, there hasn’t been enough parking spots and everyone always parked in front of the building including maintenance when they are here (see picture of maintenance vehicle) one morning the office decided to have all tenants towed who were parked in front of the building costing everyone $430. I was told if I didn’t like it, rent a garage. The garages are not in good condition. I have reported my AC issues a dozen times and the office staff does not care. At this point I will make calls on Monday to channel 2, the health department, an attorney and hopefully the apartments headquarters if one exists."
"Must read before moving here! Look through all pictures, not just the ones they post! This is the real Oxford hills! BOTH POOLS have been closed all spring and summer. The indoor one was closed down by the health department. They refused to re-open the outdoor pool after a water balloon got caught in the filter, so the water evaporated to half the original level and turned solid green (mosquitos anyone?). The tennis court net and sign have been on the ground for years. The grills are in shambles and inoperable. There is black mold throughout the walls of my building and the first floor floods when it rains. The laundary room floods ever time I pay the $3.25 to do a single load. Due to these things, the hall way carpet is mold ridden. The storage room ($15/mo) is covered in toxic mold and the ceiling is falling down. The dog parks are rarely maintained. It took them 2 months and several of my visits to the lobby to fix my garage door ($75/mo). The flowers look nice, the lobby looks nice, and the fitness center is recently renovated. But if you at the pool or fitness center and are thirsty don't expect the water fountain to work - been that way for 3 years. If you need to shower or use the restroom, don't expect privacy - there've been no stall doors or curtains the 3 years I've lived here. I do not expect things to get better, I've been here for 3 years and they only get worse."
