"I've been here for 2 years now. So far pretty smooth experience. Easy application process and all maintenance requests are completed within 24-48hrs. The apartment managers are always keeping us up to date on changes and issues within the complex (pool shut-downs, power outages, repairs, landscaping, etc). For the value, this is a really great square to live in. Only issue is some residents smoke weed, and it permeates the walls. Noise does not generally travel too much unless there is yelling next door, though. A/C could be better as the upper level is always 20 degrees warmer than the rest of the complex...."
"I called them because i was interested in a town home there. The lady that answered the phone was clearly of low intelligence. She informed me that they had nothing currently available. I told her that i understood and asked when they would have something available. She said that she didn't know and couldn't access that information. I thought that was odd. I tried to explain that other places require their residents to give a 30 or 60 day move out notice. This gives them the ability to tell potential residents when then will have units available. The lady I spoke to told me they don't do that and accused me of arguing with her. I asked her if I needed to rely totally on pure luck to live there and she said yes. I asked her if there was a supervisor I could speak with. She begrudgingly gave me the email of the supposed supervisor. I sent an email and the "supervisor" called me back. She obviously had already been primed and made ready for the call by the initial woman. She said the she would have told me the same thing. I asked her why they didn't have a better system in place and she said that it was none of my business. If this is how they treat people on the phone I can only imagine how it is to live there. It's a shame because the units look nice, are centrally located, and are reasonably priced. Oh well."
"i love this apartment i am living in, but it is soo expensive. The owner also lied to us and told we need to buy the Apartment ASAP because this is their last 3 bedroom. Parking is trash which the owner told us we get 2 spot which that was a bold face lie. the maintenance man is hot in a older white man kind of way"
"The apartments themselves are very nice, but the parking is extremely limited. Our reserved spot has been parked in multiple times. Management at first sent mass texts out to other residents when this occurred, which was appreciated. Our spot was recently parked in, which somehow led to the offenders calling the police because we knocked on their door. As a result, we were told not to call the number that we had been calling ever again, which is very frustrating. I understand that spots are limited, but we do pay rent like every other tenant here, and to be blamed and then essentially banned from complaining because someone else chose to involve the police because we knocked on their door at night hoping they would leave the reserved spot is unfair. In summary, management is aware that there are parking issues but takes no real steps to rectify the issue, then blames tenants for wanting to park in their own spots. I won't be renewing my lease. EDIT: Please see the email sent to us after our property manager called us to tell us our complaints are no longer welcome. She specifically states that people are allowed to violate lease policy if we do not claim our spots first. If you work/go to school at night, this is NOT the complex for you. Anyone without a 8-5 job will find themselves lacking parking, and the complex will not honor their legally binding (lease) obligation of reserved parking."
"I just moved in Aug 26th and so far I love it! Josh at the leasing office is super sweet, and maintenance is on top of things! I can see myself staying for many years. UPDATE SEPT 2017: It has been a little over a year now and I have experienced all seasons in this home. I will do my best to give it the honest most in depth review I can. -Utilities have been pretty low all things considering, since it is roughly 1500 sq and 3 stories. Gas has never been over $70, even in the freezing temps with snow on the ground. I recommend getting on budget billing for electric as soon as summer comes around however ... and purchasing a window unit for the top floor, which we did. Don't make the same mistake we did (we bought a cheap unit that isn't very energy efficient) or you will start to see electric bills in the $200s or so. The complex covers water sewer trash. -Also, we had a lot of issues with the pool having to close due to children constantly vandalizing pool area (breaking rope, knocking over and breaking pool furniture). You never have an issue with kids until summer, this goes for any apartment complex. And they must really love that pool. Pool opens the week of memorial day and closes around labor day. -You will hear your neighbors. I know, it's shocking, and we didn't for a few months. It's not much, only when they are fighting or have large gatherings over. We are used to it but for someone who is leaving a home, this might take a little getting used to. -I believe I touched on this when we first moved in, but parking is my biggest annoyance living here. You get one assigned spot, which no one is allowed to park in but you although once or twice someone has. If you have a second car you are usually ok with finding a spot close to your home unless you get home later than 6 or 7. Any more than 2 vehicles and you are going to have some trouble. I believe that they say you can't have more than 2 vehicles, but it's not really enforced (although we briefly did and your neighbors notice!). Pulling into and out of the parking lot can be a lot like Frogger due to a few unmarked spots located at the entrance and exit of the parking lot. So drive slow and be ready to pull over if your neighbor is coming the opposite way I mentioned all the things I can think of that I wish someone had told me about when I moved in. I will be honest however, I had to be nit-picky about it because this place truly is amazing. I will live here the remainder of my time in St Louis (and I shop apartment complexes for a living!). Everyone at the office is sooo nice and maintenance is quick, efficient, and trustworthy. Whether you are looking for somewhere short or long term, you can't go wrong with a place like Williamsburg."
