"Disclaimer: I have not rented from Stone Ridge Apartments. This is my review from trying to schedule a tour and gather more information for an 1 bedroom apartment. This apartment was on my top list for apartments to rent from. I loved how centrally located it was and it was right off of Metcalf Ave. It is hidden and has a great view. I was prepared to pay 3 months of rent in advanced upon approval and singing of a lease. I live 1 hr and 40 minutes away from Stone Ridge so I wanted to be prepared with my questions as well as having the papers filled out already. I had minimal time during the week to come up to KC to view it, so this was my one chance. I called to schedule a tour 2 days before my scheduled tour. I talked with Teeway about the apartment and scheduled a tour. When I arrived, I was notified on the spot that the apartment had been leased out and there was no availability to tour the apartments. I then drove all the way back to my house 1 hr and 30 minutes away. The management is not professional in handling potential tenants. I was not impressed with them, and they are the number 1 reason I’m not going to rent from them… Should have read the reviews before scheduling an apartment…"

"I moved in June of 2021 and the AC went out it took till after the 4th of July to fix it. I had to keep calling about window units to use finally got them. I gave my 60 day notice and the washer pipe had a leek so I called it didn't get fixed till the bath tub stopper broke and I reported that it took a week. I tried calling multiple times about my deposit and no one answered. Finally got my deposit and it wasn't all that I should have gotten. I spent 4 hours cleaning and should have gotten my deposit less the 125 carpet cleaning fee. They said when I did get a hold of them it was in the best condition ever."

"I'm so glad I waited until I moved out of this apartment complex to leave a review. I lived at the apartment complex for 3 years and was never late on rent. My stay was alright. I didn't have any huge complaints other than how much their rent increases YOY. I was living in a non renovated unit and they were making me pay their highest rent. I would have moved sooner, but I just hate the hassle of moving. The maintenance staff is great. Like I stated previously, I lived here for 3 years and was never late on rent. I was charged a non-compliance fee due to a renters insurance mix up. During the time of trying to clear up that confusion I had told the property manager that I wouldn't pay until that was cleared because I didn't want to have a credit on my account because I was moving out and it would be no use to me. Well the property manager didn't respond and never told me they would be able to write a check for that credit. So, I get a late charge, which they will now not remove. I had been waiting on my account statement for a month so I could dispute the charge. Well, they are so incompetent that they sent it to the wrong address. I finally hear from them and their response to me is "when can you pay?" That's it. No pleasantries. Very unprofessional and rude. You should probably be a lot nicer if you want people to pay you. Just a thought. I hope this review finds someone wondering if this is the apartment to choose and I hope you read this knowing some day you will be nickle and dimed and no one will listen."

"I absolutely love this apartment complex! I feel tucked away from the world since the complex is surrounded by tons of trees and foliage. It really is a beautiful property and the apartments are well maintained. A stark difference from where I used to live in Lenexa lol... They actually do snow removal here, too! I really like the current office manager and maintenance as they've always been responsive any time I've had to call. Overall a great experience so far; no complaints here!"
