"If you LOVE peace of your mind just stay away from this horrible apartments, they don’t deserve even a single star wish there’s “negative star”. Not a place to stay.take it lightly at your own risk.First starting with CAR PARKING it’s like they do a business with a towing company without a resident in mind as a customer ,I don’t use my car much often as the truck driver being over the road and the leasing office had my car details and my occupation but didn’t bother to call or send and email knowing probably I won’t see the notice. Towed my car which costed roughly $500 to get back. Nothing good from this apartment only residents frustration and with time I will give more details why you should stay away this …"
"I will start by saying every comment you read in here please don't take it lightly. This is not the place to stay. They lied about how much I had paid in my deposit and they lied about how much I would have to pay at the end of my lease. I had a window broken an the leasing manager told me they would have it fix in a week. It turned out it took almost 2 months before they fixed it. This leasing group is not honest at all. So please make sure everything you get is in writing and you have a copy. I care about people and never want anyone to get done wrong if I can prevent it. It's plenty of Apartments in the area. Why ignore comments when you see most are bad. When a lot of people are saying similar things you must take that in full consideration before moving. I hope when you read this, you think hard about making this place your home. It's better apartment homes who actually care and want to do right with their tenants. Please do not allow yourself to go through unnecessary stress or frustration. Their Google reviews should tell you everything you need to know."
"DO NOT RENT HERE!! I had a leak in my apartment that ended up pouring out of my bedroom ceiling. There is water damage all over and a huge hole above my bed. We were not offered anywhere to stay while I room was not habitable. I was told it would be fixed the next day. They said they are only going to patch up the big hole, not even fix all the water damage. Then was told they would start fixing it 5 days later. They still haven’t. There is just plastic covering the hole for now. Maintenance also turn on my thermostat to 72 with fans going in my apartment while I was gone for 2 days, left my lights on, and went through my kitchen cabinets. I’ve tried getting into contact with the property manager to talk about breaking my lease or even being reimbursed for the days. The manager claimed to be sick and wouldn’t meet or talk directly to me. And when I call, the office workers to have them talk to her about reimbursement, they say they will call me back and never do. Edit: we finally moved out and they charged us $700 on top of our security deposit to replace the "urine soaked" carpets. I called and talked to Lori. Let her know the carpets were soaked from the pipe bursts. She said she got on her hands and knees and sniffed the floor to confirm it was urine. And she has picture evidence. But then refused to send it because she legally doesn't have to. And just kept telling me to take her to court if I didn't like it."
"Horrible place to live. I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy The management staff are rude and arbitrarily make up their own office hours. I lived there for almost 6 1/2 years and still don't know who the managers name is. It seems like they go through assistant managers every few weeks or so ,, because I'll be damned if I ever knew any of their names. The maintenance staff all quit because of being overworked and underpaid. They can't even keep a regular maintenance staff around long enough before they are looking for replacements for the one's that quit."
"They won't let you see the apt you will get ahead of time! You have to sign a lease first and see upon move in date. Then your stuff is in a moving truck and you have a hard time backing out! Maintanence can't fix anything without making it worse. Still waiting on my ceiling to be sanded and painted since they fixed the leak on Oct 17th 2017. They think if they stop the leak who cares what it looks like. This bldg doesn't have bugs. Just snakes. 3 times there has been a snake in hallway. Apt has been flooded by Maintanence trying to use an outside faucet which was broke before I moved in. Carpet had to be removed and put down again per incident. Carpet is fraying because they refused to put new metal strips down and now carpet has pulled away. It will be a trip hazard before long. Plus sharp metal edging from them pounding metal stripping. Complaining to office does no good. They just say they will put a work order in. No work order no proof of complaint. Name of game here. Overland park need to do bldg inspections here. Elec. Boxes with wires hanging out. Too many issues here. Channel 4 action news could rip this complex to pieces. Sounds like Kat. R. And I may have had the same apt. #70. This complex is cheap. Now you know why...... 2 yrs after I moved to a beautiful apt in south OPKS...my old neighbor at Cedar Crest tells me they still get snakes out in the indoor hallway...mice everywhere..the most disgusting place I ever lived....I should have moved the first time my lease came up. When i lived there one of maintenance reeked of weed when he showed up for a water issue...another maintenance superviser who lived in a townhouse would grill 6 ft from apt and stacked trash cans in front of grill so you couldnt see very good...grills were prohibited?????? RUN before renting."
