La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jackson Airport

"We had enough Wyndam points for a free night so decided to stay here to visit while my niece was born. Had to book two separate reservations because of that. When we initially checked in we brought our miniature dachshund in with us and the desk clerk commented on how cute she was. Checked in with no problem. Fast forward to tonight. The remote in our remote was not functional so I went down to ask for a replacement. When I told the new desk clerk, a male, he then accused me of sneaking our dog into the hotel. He raised his voice with other people around that I was mandated to report our dog and pay the fee. I don't mind if there is a fee. Some La Quinta's charge them and some don't. My issue was this was told to us when we checked in. We had our dog with us and it was never mentioned at check in. It felt unprofessional to treat us in such a manner. It was embarrassing to say the least. Extremely unprofessional. We went upstairs and packed up immediately and left. I don't care about the fee for dogs, it is what it is. I will not however stay at a hotel where I am treated so poorly. We've been a Wyndam rewards member for years but I will not stay in this La Quinta ever again. They also refused to refund me. Its unfortunate that their employees raise their voices at you and embarrass their customers and then keep your money. Also there is an obvious odor in the building. It smelled like weed to me. It hits you right when you enter the building. Pros: The breakfast was good. Also the staff when we checked in and this morning were nice. First stay was on March 3-4, 2nd was booked for the 4-6 but we checked out early."

"Everyone I talked to or encountered was super nice! The workers picked me up and took me back to the airport. They had a great breakfast and my room was very clean. I would definitely stay here again!"

"As I drove up to the hotel I didn’t feel very safe. There were a few cars and several people sitting in their cars. Exactly across the street is a Circle K gas station. The lobby area was dark and the reception area was extremely compact. The night reception, a male, was not welcoming at all. He did not welcome me and I initiated the conversation. He did not mention the hotels amenities or time that breakfast was offered. As previous reviews mentioned there is an odor in the place. Like body odor or musty smell. It wasn’t a fresh scent. My room was nicely decorated but when I took a closer look the wear and tear was obvious. A screw was missing from the security lock. The bed had two serious dips and an odor. I had 6 small pillows on the bed and the linen was extremely wrinkled. The furniture has a lot of dings from age and use. The microwave on the outside was in need of a good cleaning. The coffee maker was fine but there were not sugar, creamer, stir sticks to make coffee. The vanity was nice and the Dove products were a plus. Next trip I will do more research instead of trusting a brand."

"I stayed at the la Quinta in Pearl Mississippi on two separate nights during my vacation. Once on my way west on my trip to Texas and then on my way home and my return trip to Alabama. The first day was made pleasant because it was late at night when I arrived and I had been searching for a place that would let my dog Jasper stay with me. The night attended name Glenda was most helpful and very cordial. I had a great room both times and it was most comfortable and I got a great night's rest. Casper enjoyed the stay as well! Next time I come through Jackson I will definitely stay at the la Quinta at Pearl. You guys are awesome. The continental breakfast both days was very tasty and feeling it made my day start off just the way it should."

"We have never had a bad experience with La Quinta and this hotel was definitely no exception. Reasonably priced with comfy beds, fridge, TV, nice and clean. Breakfast was great. Staff was excellent and made us feel like family even though we were only there one night, which happened to be Thanksgiving. We will definitely stay there when we pass through the next time."
