"Beautiful hotel, but my focus was on an event space. I hosted a bridal shower in their Magnolia Room. The employees were extremely helpful and polite. They quickly brought me an extra table and trash can that I requested. The room was beautifully decorated, so I didn't have to do much to make it lovely. Plenty of space for a 50 person event."

"Got a "cancer patient"rate for Mayo Clinic patients which was affordable for my 2 day stay. Regular rate is lower or competitive with area prices. My room was actually a small apt w/ full kitchen & separate bedroom, located across the street from the main bldg. Fridge even had a working ice maker which I found very useful. The room was somewhat dated but very clean. My only gripe was a cooling system that had a window unit in the living room & an exhaust type wall fan in the wall between the living room area and the bedroom. The bedroom was cooled to comfortable but not really cooled to AC temps. Still, it was adequate for outside temps in the high 80's. It would not keep me from staying again. The staff were all competent and very pleasant and helpful. The bed was older but fine as my bad back didn't hurt from 2 nights of sleeping. The free shuttle was available until 10 pm & takes guests anywhere in town. Free parking is definitely the cherry on top. Had a problem watching TV. Thought I was too dumb to figure it out! But it was a remote that had not been paired with the cable box! There is a smaller pool in the main bldg along with a hot tub. It's open from 6 am til midnight! I loved that as one of my pet peeves is pools that close at 9/10 pm. Especially when I arrive in the early eve, I often don't get time to swim. Too many don't open til 10 am, cancelling an early morning swim to begin the day. I would recommend the property and would stay again."
