Pico Eleven Luxury Apartments Santa Monica

"After living at Pico Eleven for nearly 2 years, I would not recommend the building to anyone as it is unsafe (numerous police reports) and the property owners and management company are, in my experience, unscrupulous. I've been renting for 30 years and dealing with the property management company of Pico Eleven has been the worst experience I've ever had. While it is not uncommon for owners and employees to review their own business, it can be misleading. Prior to this review, it appears that Pico Eleven has 21 Google reviews with an average rating of 4.3. The public should know that at least 8 of the reviewers who provided 5 star ratings are either owners or employees (and in some cases both). These reviews falsely inflate the overall rating. I encourage anyone who is considering Pico Eleven to talk with residents about their experience before signing a lease."

"Yesterday i had a scheduled tour with my realtor at pico eleven in Santa Monica. My realtor and i arrived to the property and no one was to be found for the scheduled tour. My realtor contacted Brody, he asked if we could come back later with a baby talking in the background. I asked to speak with him and asked him who was his boss. He said it’s a small company and i am the general manager. I asked again who was his boss. He questioned why i was asking. I mentioned that i wanted to speak to someone in upper management to file a complaint. He stated, “good luck trying to find someone, we are a small family owned business.” He then proceeded to say I am not going to consider you as a candidate for this property. This response was completely out of line and unnecessary especially in the pandemic environment we are currently living in. To turn down business because you were unprofessional and couldn’t seem to manage your appointment is out of line. If you are the owner of this business please contact me. I plan to file a formal complaint with the city of Santa Monica and the better business bureau."

"We’ve lived here for just about a year. We’ve enjoyed a lot about the building including its design aesthetic, quality finishing in the apartment (Viking appliances for example), public shared spaces (love the grill), location near to the beach - but not in the middle of tourist chaos - and amazing views. Management has always been helpful and quick to respond to anything we need addressed which honestly hasn’t been much. Most of our neighbors have been super friendly but we had one or two that weren’t missed when they left - probably the same as in a lot of places. The biggest downside, and the reason I didn’t give it five-stars is the Holliday Motel next door. If you live on this side of the building like we do, you don’t have to order cable cause the show next store is never ending. We’ve seen too many domestic disturbances to count, overdoses, drug addicts, and a regular parade of appearances from the fire and police departments and EMT services. Interestingly, when I asked neighbors across the passage from us if they’ve ever heard or seen anything they said “no” they weren’t even aware. If you consider living here just keep this last piece in mind."
