"Really thin walls and dated decor. Could hear the neighbours going all night long partying with loud TV for two days straight. Kind of in the middle of nowhere and this was the cheapest hotel I could find in Santa Monica during AFM. But it was still expensive at approx $200 a night. Nice staff but the hotel requires development for the cost. Didn't trust the room couldn't get broken into so left no valuables in the room."

"The room was too small, the beds were very uncomfortable, too soft, the floors were dirty, the furniture was old, the curtains were old, there was no microwave, no coffee maker in the room. The hotel is located on a noisy road, very noisy, as if there were no doors. The parking lot is very narrow, especially narrow if you have a big car. Parking is far from the rooms, inconvenient to carry bags. Our room was on the 1st floor, you could hear the neighbors walking upstairs, the floors creaking. Our window overlooked the backyard, and there were garbage can under the window. At night, the owners of the hotel leave and you feel unsafe. Doors let noise through and you can hear other neighbors walking around. I thought we had the worst room."

"I unfortunately didn’t get to stay so I can’t review the rooms but I can review the customer service. I was overbooked at a different hotel so I contacted Ocean Inn to see what was available. They had availability and said over the phone they take cash as well. After driving for almost a half an hour. They no longer had space and did not hold the room even though I said I was on my way and all of sudden didn’t accept cash even though I asked these questions on the phone prior to my arrival. I wouldn’t know if it was a good place or not just based on that experience alone. If I’m ever in need of another room ,I will try again and update my review"

"Charming and affordable destination close to the beach. The young man at the lobby was very kind and even let us check in to our room several hours before our scheduled check-in. Also, my 4 year old loved the door mat by our room :)"
