"I stayed in the male economy dorm. The room had four bunk-beds, and unfortunately there wasn't a lot of common space for you to store your personal belongings. I ended up putting all my stuff in the tall lockers, and sometimes it could be awkward when multiple people wanted to take stuff out from their lockers at the same time since the lockers are placed next to each other. Luckily, the beds came with curtains so we didn't have to look at the opposite beds when we slept. The hostel provides great breakfast - toast, bagels, cereals, milk, and even orange juice! It is very popular among guests. The community kitchen is quite spacious and there is also a popular outdoor garden, but from my observation most guests didn't interact with one another. The hostel doesn't organize events, which is a pity. However, it is conveniently located and you can venture out to different tourist attractions via public buses or the metro (walk around 10-15 minutes). While the hostel doesn't offer views of the Santa Monica beach, it is just a short walk, and downtown Santa Monica is small but buzzing even at night."

"You’re getting to stay in an incredible location for an affordable price at a pretty cool hostel, so that by itself warrants 5 stars from me. Rooms were very clean, they have easily accessible lockers, and they have lots of stuff to do. It’s also in a very walkable part of town. I will say that parking can be quite expensive or inconvenient if you don’t plan accordingly, but that’s going to be a problem almost anywhere in beachside LA/SM, so I won’t penalize the rating for it. Otherwise, absolutely go for it."

"The best hostel! The facilities look very nice, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the bathrooms are amazing and doesn’t even look like a hostel. They have a huge (it’s really big!!!) kitchen where you can prepare and storage all your meals. They also serve a very nice breakfast included (just the coffee that doesn’t taste good haha). The location is the best too, close to everything in Santa Monica, including the pier and the beach. They also have beach equipment to rent for free."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hostel, and I'd even bring my mother here! The location is excellent, being close to Santa Monica Pier and surrounded by numerous shops and restaurants. One minor inconvenience is the pricey parking options nearby, but we found a more affordable option at Civic Center, where we paid around $22 to park from 9 PM to 9 AM. The rooms and bathrooms were in great condition, and the absence of carpets was a plus. Everything appeared relatively new and well-maintained. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, especially the delicious bread. And, I must say, the staff was exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. Overall, this hostel exceeded my expectations, and I'd happily recommend it to others, including my dear mother!"
