Historic Broadlind Hotel at Long Beach Convention Center

"Rooms weren’t too bad. Parking and getting to their parking lot is a nightmare. I dropped my wife off and drove away so I could wait for her to get into the front door, up to the room and then back down for gatecard to get behind secured fence and to parking lot. Not convenient for out of town travelers. Poor location as it’s above a loud bar. Won’t stay again. Didn’t sleep well. As per a local I met his advice was to spend a little more and say in one of the other chain hotels (pointed to the taller buildings). The room we stayed in had a window right by the toilet which could give you access to view the street while using it. Could give an astute eyed individual the chance to see your bum when standing up or sitting down as well. Bed was a little uncomfortable but we were tired from hours of driving."

"Being in a building that is on the historical register makes this particular hotel a very special place to spend your time away from home. However, I must say, the bed was something awful. After only one night, my back began to ache from sleeping in a very old mattress. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my experience there. The location is something wonderful as well, as we were able to walk to many key points of interest in downtown Long Beach and its marina area."

"Great location. Walking distance to almost everything. Cute hotel, and it has a history. My real complaint is the bed. Horrible mattress. Like, horrible."

"Very mixed feelings about this. The good: location, the room was clean and well equipped, didn't experience any noises so got good sleep The bad: they are very unresponsive if something is needed. Case in point, they advertise a free breakfast voucher but once you get there, there isn't information how to get it. Tried all day calling, tried emails and texts. Zero response. So, pretty well false advertising (don't count on that breakfast voucher) Also, saw a couple from out of town stuck outside the building not being able to get in. Since there's no staff onsite it might not be simple for out of towners with no way access to data to sort these things that are usually simple at a regular Hotel. While personally my experience wasn't bad, I wouldn't recommend it."
