The Arbours of Hermitage Apartment 6001 Old Hickory Boulevard, Nashville, TN 37076

"This apartment complex use to be an excellent place to live especially if you have a family. But management is terrible. I had an issue with my neighbor and they told me I couldn’t call the police, but as soon as my neighbors calls the police I’m being removed off the premises when I decided to take matters into my own hands since the leasing office wouldn’t do anything about it. This is all after I’ve paid my security deposit, first month rent and other fees. Management back in 2017 was way better and handled situations better than how they are handling things now. Barrington smelled like alcohol every time I went into the leasing office to get my mail. None of my keys worked. I put in orders for maintenance to come and they never came. They water ran yellow for a month. And as an African American women, my race there isn’t nice they are rude to people who are not from the area and are on a mission to get people who are out of state to move and get put out… If you are looking to move into the hermitage area I would not suggest the Arbours of hermitage. Black lion reality is the worst company! And They stole my package with all my wall fixtures and rugs in it told my mom it wasn’t there!"

"BY FAR THE WORST PLACE I HAVE LIVED!!! I moved in June of 2022 and after the first week I started noticing things about the apartment. For the prices you pay for rent you would think it would be a fairly nice apartment but it was dirty. The painters did not even clean the walls and painted hair and dirt into the walls. It took 2 1/2 weeks to get a simple outlet replaced. The pools were open for maybe a month into summer and then closed down for the rest of the summer. The second pool was never opened for this year and the other one was only open when the office was open. It is supposed to be a gated community but the gate is ALWAYS broken. My car has been vandalized two times while living there as well as other people in the complex. The first time I reported it to the office and said their lack of a security camera system was alarming due to the break-ins happening. The light outside of my building was also out so it was pitch black at night as well as the gate was still broken at this time. They told me that they would put in a work order for the building light and gate and apologized for any inconveniences. Fast forward a couple months, and my car was broken into again. The gate was still broke, the building light was out, and they still had no security cameras. This ended up being over $600 in damages to my vehicle. I reported it to the office again and the assistant manager told me to write an email to her and she would forward it to corporate. I never heard anything back. Finally, after moving out, the lack of communication was horrid. One person told me one thing while another person told me something different. This resulted in me having to drive back out to Hermitage twice to sign paperwork and pick up the security deposit check after being told it would be mailed to me. If you have the option to live somewhere else I would highly recommend avoiding this place at all costs."

"Pros: -Pretty easy commute to the down town area. -Rent is reasonable Issues: I haven’t stayed at this property for a month yet and had a lot of issues from trying to move in. As the picture shows the upkeep on this place is deplorable (this unit is considered as acceptable to rent). Theses pictures are from my moving. They had to have the cleaning staff come multiple times to re-clean the unit. Now I think this is a running joke because I can not fathom why I would subject myself to this. I should have seen the warning signs when they changed my unit 3 or 4 times before move in. My lease started on 9/1 and I still don’t have a mailbox key every time I go to the office it is written on a new sticky note but I get no updates about my key unless I stop by or call (unacceptable). The front door they drilled and chiseled out the lock and left it with a hole and thought it was acceptable. When I complained they put the metal guard on it. Complained again about the guard then they stated they will order a new door but I haven’t heard anything back on that (expectations are low but still would love to de proven wrong). They used silicon to fix a hole on the side of the doorframe which causes the threshold to dip down when you step on it. I was told this will be fixed when they replace the door (fingers crossed). Communication from the office is very limited. Was told they were working on compensation but never heard anything about that. Also if you are asked to be switched to another unit due to the plethora of issues it is a big fat no. Rent at your own risk and I hope your moving and unit is better than mine."
