"The girl in the office I think is a little slow :/ I got denied so she said my mother could apply and she also got denied since she applied with me it’s an automatic denial I don’t think that’s fair and we don’t get our application fee and they admin fee takes a month I already lost 100 dollars and I need to move now if your in a hurry I do not recommend this place the girl at the office has to call her manager her for everything she’s not even fully trained"

"Update 10/3/2023: After an unhealthy amount of turnover in management, GVA tricked me into renewing my lease by saying, "This management team will do better," only to once again turn over prove they won't/can't. My water bill has more than doubled with no notice. It was described to me as a means of better meeting the water usage across the property. This must include the constant emptying and refilling of the pool that has only been open 1/4 summers I've been here... I also had to fight for 2 months for a ceiling fan and AC to be replaced. I'm in a 2-story unit with a single thermostat on the bottom floor. Moving air between the floors makes a colossal difference, and the AC was very literally pouring gallons of water onto the floor and around open wiring. The new head of maintenance walked in, put his hand up to a vent, and said, "Seems like it's working." The process of having a functional fan included someone spraying WD-40 all over my walls, carpet, and banister, and after someone jammed a new air filter that was too large into the new AC, it's already started to make "thumping" noises every time the fan spins. What a joke. Edit 5/9/2022: It has been 3 months since I updated this. GVA, the owners of the complex, are incompetent and cruel. They wanted my roommate to pay for a credit check 3 times because they lost his entire lease and the money order for a subsequent credit check to be able to join the lease. I had to go to upper management in Texas to receive anything resembling a functional level of competence. Since then, my roommate moved out due to the shear amount of patience required to work with these people. Now, as I am bringing someone else into the unit a few months prior to signing a lease renewal, they've decided to raise my rent by 50%! Of course, the new roommate backed out due to the price, so now, I'm set to lose literally thousands of dollars floating a 2 BR by myself due to GVAs startling lack of intelligence and ethics. Seriously, do not move here. You could live on 12 South for the same price and probably deal with a better quality of landlord. I've decided to edit my review of this property. It used to be great here. The previous management company was kind and respectful to the residents. GVA, on the other hand, seems to allow their representatives to treat residents like garbage. In the past year, since GVA purchased the property, I have attempted to get my new roommate's name on my lease multiple times. We even paid the background check fee on two separate occasions. On the third occasion, they asked for proof that this happened so they could wave a third fee. Given my score of 1/5 stars, you can assume they did not hold up their side of that verbal agreement. In fact, every time I hold the company responsible for not moving forward with the process, they become defensive and I am met with aggression. Even if I inquire that the paperwork I received is the correct form (in this case, a form to vacate the premises), the GVA representative just keeps shouting, "I don't know!" at me. Beyond being treated like garbage for holding parties in my contract responsible for their duties, they make you fight for everything you're owed. They cut our access to garbage in half, resulting in unsanitary conditions and attracting innumerable pests (Photo attached). Work orders also take months to process. For me, this included a faulty HVAC and a bathroom door that wouldn't close. Also, do not confuse the fresh coat of paint for updating. The apartments have more leaks than one could imagine. My back door might as well not exist, as ice forms on the interior glass panes, only to melt and grow mold on the interior of the door itself. When you visit the property, take note that all 2-story apartments have an AC unit on the second floor. I can not stress this enough: DO NOT MOVE HERE. The price is attractive, but you do not get what you pay for and are treated as sub-human for being the sole entity upholding your end of the contract."
