Hampton Inn Memphis/Southaven 7097 Sleepy Hollow Drive, Southaven, MS 38671

"I have often stayed in Hilton/ Hampton hotels, but this was a nightmare, and I will never stay in another one. We would have been better off at a Motel 6. When we took a shower water went everywhere, it was like sleeping in a swamp. we would have been better off sleeping in our car. The bed was so uncomfortable it was like sleeping on an army cot. On top of all that the smell was sickening, it smelled like old cabbage. For the price we paid, I really expected a better stay, whatever you do, don't stay here!!"

"The customer service was great. The people who work here are very friendly! We only stayed one night but it was a good experience. The parking lot can get full at night and we almost didn't find a park when we got back to the hotel that night. Other than that, it was all good."

"I struggled to give 3 stars, but some of the staff were as fabulous as the place was not. Our (non-refundable) stay started with a room the smelled as if curry had been cooked there daily for a week. The front desk woman moved us immediately to a smaller, but less smelly, room. The room was clean but very shabby with no chic as a saving grace, with a ripped sofa and such. This is small but mind boggling: they don't have bars of soap. To wash your hands, you're expected to climb in the shower and get soap from the mounted dispenser. What? The common areas has carpet that needs an industrial strength cleaning, and the elevator has cracked tiles. My wife says we were actually in a Motel 4 with the wrong signage. She ain't far from wrong. The rest of our family was across the freeway in a Drury Inn that was fabulous. There was someone constantly cleaning the common areas, the staff was very friendly and engaged, and the place is well appointed. They even have a complimentary evening meal for their guests! Not that we were jealous or covetous. I don't know how their average reviews climbed to 4.1 unless most of them are from 10 years ago. We felt safe booking a Hilton property with a 4.1, but we were obviously wrong to trust the name. If we meet family there again, you can bet we'll be parked at the wonderful, less expensive Drury Inn."

"This hotel is near an airport and around 3 am the planes start taking off and landing. As far as the hotel it’s very clean. So if you can sleep through the planes then I would recommend but for me I have stay here twice and when I come back I will find a different location to stay."

"Best Hampton I have stayed at this year. Quiet hotel, clean rooms, great staff. I slept so well that I was surprised when I awoke. Clearly the staff at this hotel intend to make a good impression. We are diamond members. This Hampton is worth 10 stars. Thank you for making our trip relaxing! We were in room 301 and it was quiet. I was concerned because of previous review but our stay was awesome!"
