avid hotel Memphis - Southaven, an IHG Hotel

"This hotel is fantastic. I spend over 300 nights a year in hotels. Marriot, Hilton, and IHG. I would never normally choose a hotel with lower ratings, but this was chosen by a colleague who had stayed here before. I cannot imagine how this hotel gets less than 5 star reviews. It is a no fluff hotel brand, but honestly has far better amenities than expected. My experience was exceptional."

"I would stay here anytime very clean rooms friendly staff The only reason I do not give a five-star is the Continental breakfast could be just a little bit better And I wish there was a microwave in the room. But I would definitely stay here anytime."

"The staff at the Avid was fabulous!! We worked with Rachel to set up a block of rooms for my daughter's wedding. Rachel stayed on top of everything we needed. The rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. They constantly asked what they could do to help. They went above and beyond to help the weekend run smoothly. Thank you for all you did."

"We worked with Rachel and other Avid staff over the last 6 months to coordinate a block of rooms for our wedding weekend. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Rachel and the Avid staff. Rachel reached out to us many times over the last 6 months to confirm final details of our wedding party’s arrival. She helped us coordinate welcome bags with her staff, and even had the sweetest card and gift for my husband and I upon our arrival. The staff was so kind and accommodating to all of my wedding party and the rooms were spotless. "We tried checking in early but they were very straightforward that no early check-in. When we arrive close to around 11:30pm their computers went down & we were waiting in the lobby for around 25min. After he gave us our room but said "I might have to call up to get information." I said "in the next hour?" He said "From now to 3pm." Didn't get a call but not a way to go to the room waiting on a call & having a funky night sleep. Knocked on our friends room at 2AM. Room: was clean, bathroom great, Bed comfy. Only negative to the room was super soft pillows. Bring your own if you can. Breakfast: Good just little, recommend getting snack from the Continental breakfast. Then eating in town."
