Holiday Inn Southaven Central - Memphis, an IHG Hotel

"On February 16, 2024 around 10:30 pm we stopped here to get a room because it was close to the Memphis Airport. My husband saw rooms starting at $89 per night online. So we expected the room to be more but we did expect the lady at the desk to price gouge us. She told my husband that she only had a double room left and since it was the only room left, the price would be $284 for the night. I guess she took my husband for a fool. My husband questioned that rate again and said she again said she could do that since it was the last room. He said no thanks that he would go across the street to the Avid. The front desk lady then said that Avid was a sister hotel and they were full too. My husband asked her if she could call them and she lied like she didn't have the number like she lied about the price of the room. We left and went over to Avid which had plenty of rooms and costed $104 for that night. Shame on you lady."

"Rick the manager has done a fine job with that hotel. I was so happy with my stay in this location. It was clean , very modern decorated. It’s 17 mins away from the airport and we could not hear the planes over us. There’s a pool … they charge for breakfast but kids eat free with an adult purchase so that was good. Thank you for everything"

"My $250 MAC makeup that I had just purchased from Dillard's was removed from my room and all the Holiday Inn said was " I am sorry " I don't feel safe staying with them. I had reservations at a Holiday Inn property in Chicago two weeks ago and canceled it to go to a Best Western for the two nights. I really feel like if someone took my property while I am staying there, you should replace it or give some kind of compensation on the amount of my of $250. Saying you asked your maids and they say they didn't take it. Did you really think one would say I took the make-up. Being a priority member all these years and now a IGH member is gone I am no longer interested in being a part of this membership. If I could receive my $249 for the membership I would gladly take it and be finished with Holiday Inn. I did contact corporate too and with zero results."

"Great location close to lots of restaurants and shopping, lobby was immaculate, staff was very friendly, rooms were very clean and comfortable. Near the airport but the plane noise didn't disturb us. Would definitely stay here again."
