"I needed fabric to have a Henredon barrel chair redone. Ruby helped me find the perfect fabric. She was patient and showed me a number of possibilities and helped match the photos of my living room with a choice for the chair. She was lovely and I appreciated the lovely atmosphere of the store. Prices were very good...better than another store I tried before going to Fine Fabrics & Furnishings. The other stores prices were much higher and the upholstery selections were not very extensive (and frankly, the display was a mess). In addition, it was crowded with craftspeople and home sewers, which was what their selection was obviously geared towards. Whereas Fine Fabrics seems to target upholstery, drapery, and wall finishes. I definitely recommend this establishment."

"Fine Fabrics & Furnishings is now our go to place for fabrics and cushions. We walked in yesterday morning with four dining room cushions that were so lumpy and hard friends were declining to sit down in my mother’s apartment. Melanie (co-owner) deconstructed the first cushion, showed us how it had been padded, and made suggestions as to how to remedy the situation. As we dithered over which direction to take, Melanie paid attention to all of mom’s concerns and said to come back in an hour. When we returned, she had one cushion complete, the result of her attacking the problem a couple of ways and coming up with a cushion that looked and sat better than ever before. Within 24 hours, she had all four cushions complete and ready for holiday guests. Melanie was professional, delightful and a wonderful surprise. We will be returning to Fine Fabrics & Furnishings with other pillow/cushion projects soon."
