"This location is terrible. Everything is a mess, many things don’t have prices marked, disorganized, things in the wrong place. I always come thinking I’ll have a better experience but management never bothers trying to clean this store up. You’re better off going to Home Depot."
"Workers ain’t worth a damn! Waited 10 minutes to have a key cut then walked to an associate to have someone sent to the department. They sent me back and I waited 15 minutes with no one showing up. Then I went to the customer service desk and they sent me back and I waited 10 more minutes along with some other guys that wanted keys made AND NOONE EVER CAME!!! A worker names Ms. Helen called for someone and Ms. Lily called for someone and 1 other lady called and I’ve done nothing but waist 40 minutes in the store without having any success"
"Isle blocked off and employee just standing there with AirPods on while I wait over 10 minutes to grab 1 thing. He never said a word just blank stare. People like that need to be fired because they don’t care about your store."
"I used to be a frequent shopper at Lowes but stopped when I tried to return a $50 garden hose without a receipt. The rep. asked me to insert a credit card to find the transaction but it didn't (maybe I paid cash) and I never enter my phone# (and I don't have a mylowes card) so the transaction couldn't be looked up that way, so I showed my license and asked for a store credit but was told no. I decided to write this review after reading an article about return policies, and for Lowes it said for returns without a receipt "Yes, but only for store credit if purchase can’t be verified" But on Lowes website it says "For returns without a valid receipt, Lowe’s, at its discretion, may issue in-store credit for the item’s current selling price." So, is it the discretion based on who is working at the counter on a particular day or what kind of mood the rep. is in? It's the same policy at both the North and South Durham Lowes. Lowes used to be really generous with returns without a receipt, but that is not the case with Home Depot, where they have always returned items without a receipt and given a store credit by showing my license."
"My mother purchased me a shelving unit from Lowe's online a few months ago. It sat in my garage until my boyfriend had time/was able to work on putting it together. Upon trying to put it together he realized there was a piece missing, and then we finally noticed on the box that it was even written with a sharpie: "missing pieces". He had already put half of it together before realizing he couldn't finish the project due to being sent a faulty product. (And it was clearly known that we were getting sent a faulty product since someone had already written "missing pieces" on the box.) We tried to return the faulty product today, and since it was outside of the 90-day return policy, the cashier turned us down for an exchange for a non-faulty product. I'm extremely upset and disappointed that I was sent a faulty product that had pieces missing, that was even written on the box, and they wouldn't even exchange it for a proper shelving unit with all the pieces there. I wasn't asking for money back, just an exchange for the correct product. EXTREMELY disappointed in the lack of customer service."
