"Last week was very extremely hard for me to make the difficult decision to have my sweet boy to get euthanized due to melanoma cancer. Never an easy moment to say goodbye to him. Popo, you are always in our hearts and with love always from mommy and daddy!! Also, super thankful to everyone at VERG for showing Popo the love and support he needed before leaving us. Thank you!!"

"I am so grateful for VERG. I had (unfortunately) brought my dog Raisin to the hospital on more than one occasion. Each time, the staff was kind and understanding. My most recent trip there resulted in having to put my dog down. The doctor was so kind and patient. I recommend this location to anyone and everyone I know. This is a specialty, emergency hospital. It is not always going to be butterflies and rainbows and a little patience for the staff that works tirelessly to work in the interest of your pet goes a long way. To the poor doctor that performed the euthanasia, at 7 AM, on a Sunday, I thank you. Especially since your day had only just started and it was your third euthanasia. I mourn my dog, but I was lucky he was in such good hands. My only thought is for the euthanasia room to be a little less sterile-feeling. Maybe throw a couch in there ;)"
"At first I was comforted because everyone seemed so nice and attentive, which is comforting knowing sometimes animals get sicker being in the ER. Pretty deceptive. My dog came in for a cough. I was told it was resolved 3 hours ago and the doctor had to look at the x-rays. 9 hours later I am still here..no update if my dog has been feed, her status, or where’s the eff Dr. Natalie Swieton actually is?! Or why her staff can not locate her?! The receptionist, Justin, actually had to leave the desk to find her after I nagged for hours. Meanwhile, there was a sick, elderly dog seizing on the floor in the waiting room. Terrible. But, many thanks to Justin, in this whole animal hospital he was the only one with a sense of urgency or care. I would say so far cost wise this is 100 dollars an hour. I should have just waited to go to her regular vet for the cost and the time, albeit she was critical when she came in. 10 hours is excessive especially when the issue is resolved. Only time will tell when I’ll leave. Stay tuned. *update* I left an hour after I wrote this. My dog seemed to be very touchy, and honestly, I think they planned to extort me/bill me to keep her overnight for a cough. If I hadn’t been so rude, that would’ve happened if you come here, be sure to advocate for yourself. Their staff seems to wander around aimlessly to the break room, and there seems to be no sense of urgency IN AN EMERGENCY HOSPITAL?!? I’m not saying people aren’t entitled to eat, but it seems they have a superfluous amount of staff and no tasks to manage, and nothing seems to get done - so the break room was the place I saw majority of the staff hanging out (like 10 people at once), when I just want my dog released and feed or some status. There’s a lack of priorities here. To hold a dog with a cough overnight who can be released when you have a there is a dog convulsing in your waiting room. I’m not an expert but if you’re an emergency hospital and you need the beds, you probably need it for dogs who actually have serious issues and can prioritize the release of “cured” dogs or help make your doctor find time to do something mundane like look at X-rays to release dogs for that space. The fact that IS NOT prioritized is problematic. Also, I got a $300 additional bill not including the lack of reimbursement for my time acting as a project manager for vet and clinic who can prioritize patients or their time. Also, unclear what it was for. I’ve heard terrible things about Blue Pearl so I went here. While, your dog won’t die here, your brain activity might. This was a mind numbing, and needs to utilize their staff in more productive ways."
