"I’ve stayed at this hotel a couple of times over the years; the front desk staff has gotten progressively less professional, borderline rude. The room I stayed in had a TV w/no signal, I called several times to have someone come look at it; was told technicians would be sent up and they never came. And now a month after my stay, had a no show charge randomly show up on my account, that I had to call and get reversed."

"We‘ve been at the Tillary for six days in November and we had a great stay. I cant say nothing about the car park or the breakfast, because we arrived without a car and wanted to have breakfast outside. all I can say is, that our room in the third floor was quiet, clean, big and comfortable. The staff was very nice to us. Cant understand why people wrote all these bad comments about the staff. I guess what goes around comes around. I don’t need to be pampered. Just be fair when you are writing these comments. We almost canceled our stay because of the bad comments. The only thing İ would critisize is that it took a few minutes so the water would turn hot when we got under the shower. This - you guys from the Tillary - has to be fixed. But altogether it was a nice stay. Thank you from Berlin - Germany."

"The Tillary Hotel Brooklyn is a nice hotel in a great location. The room was very spacious, with lovely views looking outside. The staff were great. The room had everything you would need, the bed was comfortable, there was a fridge, desk and the shower worked well. I recommend this hotel, it's in a great location."

"I checked in on a Saturday evening. Upon checking, I was told that there was no hot water. I was immediately headed out to visit friends so I didn't need the hot water at the time. I returned around 1am and the front desk told me that the hot water was still not working. I thought I would use the cold water for my nighttime routine. However, I quickly found that the cold water was coming out BROWN. So therefore, I had NO water for my stay. No way to wash off makeup, brush my teeth, flush the toilet or shower. I wondered how they wash linens and clean rooms with no clean running water… When I woke up, there was water, however, I was traveling and had to check out. I barely had time to use it before my stay was over. I have not received any communication or refund from the hotel. It’s been over a month."

"We found the staff friendly and helpful and the room comfortable and clean. Our room was cleaned daily, and the bed made up. The location was good for a visit to the city. Manhattan was a short walk over the Brooklyn bridge or two blocks to the subway. We arrived at about noon, while checkin is not until 3:00. The receptionist offered to hold our bags until we returned. The neighborhood has a few options for food and drinks within walking distance."
