"After reading reviews, we were considering cancelling our reservation as we were travelling from Ireland but the hotel was perfect for us. The rooms were a great size, plenty of room for 2 large suitcases and there was room under the end of the bed for 2 smaller cases. The hotel is simple but has all the amenities we needed. Nothing wrong with having a sink outside the bathroom, we’ve seen the same in multiple locations previously. Snacks, ice, water and coffee were available for a quick bite before heading out in the morning. Only a 10 minute walk from 3 subway stations which bring you to wherever you need to go in the city or elsewhere. All of the staff were friendly and very attentive. Helped us out with all of our requests. New York is a noisy place, noise is expected wherever you stay so that should not put anyone off staying here, although we weren’t disturbed by any of it. The area is safe to walk around whether it’s early morning or late night. Great place to stay!"

"Lovely view, but everything was sparse and tight. The room had walking room for a bed and entry into the room. Everything was clean, but we were given 1 towel between the two of us. I requested more towels via text, but didn’t get a response until after 11pm and I was exhausted from travel, already asleep. I had to go down to the front desk to get towels in the morning and I was again, only given 1. Continental breakfast was carbs. We found a coffee shop for breakfast. When we checked in, we asked about nearby restaurants and that recommendation was a gem and we got a discount for staying here. If you’re wanting basic, no frills this is it."

"Wonderful rooms. Perfect if you just need a place to stay so you can spend your days exploring the city. Manhattan is literally minutes away by train. The area is quiet. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is perfect for NYC life. Something small and quick with a cup of coffee. 10/10"

"I had read reviews before I stayed at the Baltic and went into it realizing it was a basic room to stay. We only needed a room one night prior to leaving for a cruise out of Brooklyn. Had no issues with the check in process. Front desk lady Christina was nice to us. Room is very small. Only annoying thing was we only had one towel in room so we had to walk down to get another. Also no hand soap so we had to use body wash. Bed was comfortable we actually slept really well. Also AC worked well in our room. The location was an older neighborhood but we felt safe. We walked to dinner late on a Friday night and many people were walking around late. Good location with lots of food options close by."
