"Very meh. Fine for the price, just your run-of-the-mill chain hotel. Seems clean, staff isn't rude. The hotel offer some cute amenities like a pool, gym and terrace, dry bar products in the bathroom and coffee downstairs. That said I do not understand the SINGLE PLY TOILET PAPER. Anything other than single ply is a small detail that would make a huge difference. Edited to add: There was really no where to store folded clothes, no drawers and hardly any shelves. The bathroom was so dark! I get liking a dim bathroom for ambience but it would be nice to have to option to have brighter light in case someone wants to shave or something. Also they didn’t use a regular sheet set with a fitted sheet and a duvet cover or bedspread - instead their set up is two flat sheets and bare comforter and another white sheet on top. I know this sounds minor but it means that if you move at all in your sleep you’re slipping and sliding around amongst all the layers of sheets. Points for comfy pillows tho"

"I always like to point out exceptional guest service reps when checking into a hotel. Aidan was super friendly, helpful and accommodating when checking in. At night I was greeted by Mario, also very friendly and accommodating (got me little half&half's from inside the pantry along with a muffin because I was starving). Room was super clean and quiet. A great find in Brooklyn."

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Aloft, check in was easy, staff was super friendly & nice. Room was very nice & clean, housekeeping was great. There were so many shops, restaurants, and transportation like subways & buses walking distance. I felt safe, especially since I traveled with my 6 year old & it was quite every night. I would definitely stay here again 10/10 !"

"DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and just book the Sheraton next door. I had stayed in December 2 weeks before Christmas. I booked through the Marriot app. I show up and they tell me the hotel is booked but they will send me to the Sheraton next door. Great. Well they still the took money off my card. The Sheraton and Aloft both charged me. I wait for it to stop pending to see if they both go through and of course they do. I call after it’s done pending and get a front desk guy and he says it released from my card. I said if it didn’t I’ll call back in a week. Obviously a lazy lie… as a week later it was still there. LONG STORY SHORT I jumped through all kinds of hoops and a month later after emailing almost everyone I could and threatening to fly back up there and speak to someone in person because I fly for free I get a response about “thanks for being patient. sending over the refund” ???? thanks for being patient no thank you for being responsive and transparent about my decent sum of money I was missing. Anyway if this happens just keep fighting the good fight to get your money back. Good luck"

"Was so pleasantly surprised by this place. Loved the little breakfast setup they had and the fact that it was all day. Every single staff member I talked to was so ridiculously nice, they even let us pick which floor we wanted to stay on. Room was nicer than I expected and the bed/pillows were so comfy. The location is also excellent with everything you need a short walk away."
