OYO Times Square

"Do not stay here. There are plenty of cheaper and cleaner options. The room I stayed in was room # 1003. The room Appeared bright and modern on the AirBnB app but was more like a slight upgrade of a prison cell. In addition I was erroneously charged $400 for smoking on the card that I left for a 45$ per night security deposit. I have not been able to get in touch with anyone from the property as they do not respond to emails or calls. The hotel is as scandalous with their fees as the hustlers and drug dealers that litter the entire block of the hotel. Seriously unless you are in dire need of a place to stay and this is the last option, DO NOT STAY HERE."

"Horrible experience. The only good thing is the location. The room was not the cleanest. The light fixtures and blind was broken. The bathroom floods all the way to the toilet when you shower. The bed is maybe 14 inches off the ground and hard! The elevators are tiny and usually only one works at a time. You can only access the stairs to go down. Not up. Several weeks later we are still waiting for our deposit back. BEWARE DO NOT STAY HERE!"

"The hotel had everything we needed for our visit. It is ideally situated, the bed is comfortable, the room was cleaned to a very good standard everyday with a more than adequate shower. The elevators were a little problem for me as I can have attacks of claustrophobia. They are tiny and one was out of order for the majority of our stay. I used the stairs to the sixth floor on a few occasions as the working elevator was over used and crowded. However we would definitely stay again and would recommend to our family and friends"

"Had no issues, room was great and clean. Everything was in working order. I’m seeing other reviews complaining about the noise but I didn’t experience anything outside of the norm for NYC hotels in my 5 day stay (even compared to much more expensive hotels). Staff was super friendly, check in was easy, check out isn’t until 12 so that was great. Location is amazing, the street it’s on is very touristy and very very safe and just a couple hundred feet from being directly in Time Square. Honestly for this price the hotel was well above my expectations."

"The location is fantastic! Very lovely modern hotel foyer. The lift to the rooms is really small especially with a couple of people in it. I ended up walking up and down 5 flights of stairs to the room to avoid the claustrophobia of the lift. Stairwell was locked from ground floor but staff were helpful unlocking it. The room itself was tiny! Beds were metal and moved as soon as you put weight on the bed. There was just enough room for two small double beds and a unit at the side. It was a squeeze walking at the end of the bed. Window looked onto other buildings so there was no view. Bathroom small but had a good shower. Room clean and quite modern. No nasty surprises apart from bed and size of room. The air con is noisy but you can switch it off. Good place to stay for the location. We left after one night because we couldn't deal with the complete lack of space for two adults and a child. You can pay slightly more and get a much larger room round the corner with a view of time square like we did."
