"When you prefer CVS, but you get such great service from Julio that it makes you want to come back! Give him a raise"
"As a patient and healthcare worker, I STRONGLY do not recommend this pharmacy. While I am deeply sympathetic to the pharmacists and technicians because Walgreens works them to the bone, their customer service is the worst I’ve ever had to deal with it. About 2 years ago, I switched my oral contraceptive prescription from the Burke Walmart to here for proximity’s sake. On the day the Walgreens app said my Rx would be ready, I came to the pharmacy and was told that my medication was out of stock and they didn’t know when it would be filled!! I asked for alternatives they had so I could ask my doctor to send a new script in, and the tech wouldn’t tell me! She basically told me that my doctor would have to keep sending prescriptions in until we found one that Walgreens had in stock!! I immediately transferred my prescription back to the Burke Walmart and have had lovely, easy experiences with them. My younger sibling recently caught Covid and was prescribed a cough medicine by his pediatrician. I wasn’t told the specific details of the Rx at the time and just went to Walgreens to pick it up since the rest of my family was sick too. When I went there, the technician didn’t confirm the medication with me and charged me $50 for 3 bottles of over the counter Robitussin!!! For context, Safeway sells each bottle for $9! Unfortunately by the time we realized that this wasn’t a special cough medicine, I had already paid. I understand legally we can’t return the prescription, but they refused to give a refund or offer any decent customer service. I’m mostly furious that the pharmacist and technician didn’t ask me if I wanted to buy 3 bottles of cough medicine!! Also, pharmacists have the authority to alter medication quantities. Most reasonable pharmacists I know would lower the prescribed quantity to be something more affordable. My family is discussing sendings all future prescriptions to the Safeway pharmacy in the same plaza. If you come to this Walgreens, prepare to be robbed, disrespected and face disgusting and terrible customer and patient service. Shame on these people."
"Similar to other reviews, my complaint is that the pharmacy at this location is super inconvenient (closed on weekends) and the staff at the front cashier desk is rude and seem to go out of their way to be unhelpful. B/c of my bad experience here (detailed below) I have since transferred most of my prescriptions to Safeway pharmacy, which is only a few stores down from this location, open on the weekends AND the pharmacist at Safeway is incredibly kind and helpful, despite probably being over worked herself since she is the only one there most of the time. So like another reviewer, my prescription got sent to this Walgreens location over the weekend and, despite the pharmacy being closed, they not only accepted the prescription but also processed it. This meant I couldn't use insurance to pick the prescription up at a non-Walgreens pharmacy that is actually open on the weekends. My husband went into the store to try and cancel the prescription since the lady at the 1-800-walgreens # couldn't do it (though she was nice and tried to be helpful). Unfortunately, Matt at the front cashier desk at this location was the exact opposite - not only unhelpful but rude and talked down to my husband the entire time. I finally did get the prescription for my 5yr old son after calling around and finding another Walgreens location that would process my order with insurance (thank you Fairfax City location!) but I have since learned my lesson (hopefully) and will have my prescriptions sent somewhere else from now on"
"This pharmacy was bad before but, since this has become Walgreens every prescription I have is messed up. Every refill is a problem. I am on auto refill with them and that never happens. They mess up a refill and I complain and then I get spammed with calls, texts, and emails for the next one. Not being opened on any day on the weekend is an issue too since my GP is opened on Saturday. Moving my prescriptions, as soon as, they manage to fix this last refill. I have one pill left and they have done nothing with the refill situation."
"Just went in today, the cashier was mumbling the whole time and gave me attitude when paying for my items. Not my fault y'all are understaffed. It's the holidays for Pete's sake, be respectful. Don't work there if you're gonna look like you hate life. Disgusting. Only other coworker there was nice and wished everyone a merry Christmas."
