"People are not exaggerating when they say stay away. The best thing about this place is you can have a dog other than that find some where else. The rent does go up all the time, management does not care and it is very noisy. The laundry room is closed at 9:00, if you are in there after 9:00 you are screwed as everything is on a timer. Twice I was in there just a few minutes past 9:00 and machines went off, but what's worse is all of the lights went off. There wasn't even an emergency light, so your standing there in complete darkness. Luckily I had my cell phone to use as a flash light. Read the reviews regarding the security deposit. Again, people are not lying or exaggerating. We were there two years while looking to buy a house. When they did the walk though I too was told it past with flying colors. As a matter of fact I was told that the place was cleaner then when I moved in. Well, four weeks later I received photos that were blurry telling me that had to replace several floor boards so they kept $325.00 of my deposit. First of all there were some small scratched when we moved in. Second, there is no way we damaged 37 floor boards. The floors are bamboo which is ridiculous as they're damaged all the time. It's as if they do it intentionally so they can keep your money. I'm not an angry former tenant just being really honest. Do yourself a huge favor and find another place to rent. This place is too small and too expensive."
"Lot's of old people who actually rival college frat parties. They were here before Brady Sullivan and it was a retirement community. So they think they are entitled to staying in an apartment and YOU are now in THEIR space. That includes THEIR parking space for themselves and their party guests/sons/daughters. The road noise here is extremely bad. Cars on the street have a traffic light and do burnouts, donuts, etc every Fri-Sun night typically. You can actually hear cars go on a racing course around the surrounding streets. On-site laundry will tear apart your clothes, people put drying crystals in the dryers, close the doors making the inside a wet, moldy petri dish. The summers make the place smell like a dog park as some people never clean up after their dog. Snow removal is god awful as they never tow and plow around cars, put down rock salt, never sand, and only plow once during the storm. The wood flooring isn't installed right and curls with relative humidity. The walls are about an 1/8" thick. When people open or close a door, the whole apartment sways like it was built like a house of cards. **UPDATE 2 years later** Yeah the place is terrible. No longer live here but if I could summarize this ghetto "section 8 in disguise" place it would be these 2 photo's. The drywall cracking is your floor or ceiling supported by wood strapping. My bathtub once had raw sewage come out of it. How the city of Manchester says this place is structurally ok is mind boggling. You can do better and you know this."
"Please be careful when dealing with any of the Brady Sullivan Properties. As other people have mentioned they are only interested in getting every cent they can out of past, present, and potential renters. If they ask for an application/security deposit (application becomes a security deposit once you sign the lease) in the form of a bank check, don't sign anything until you read the lease and look at the actual apartment first. If your application gets approved, and you decide you don't want the apartment they will keep all of the money you gave them (equal to one month of rent). I asked them for the deposit back, minus the application fee and they very rudely refused. It doesn't matter if the apartment is ready to move into or not. It wasn't going to be ready for two weeks. In tiny writing on the application they say that the money is non-refundable under any circumstance, and they mean it. In my opinion this company is very unethical. There are a lot of other apartments in the area that actually care about their tenants. Read all the reviews and information you can find on Brady Sullivan and their properties before making a decision."
"I lived at southside manor for two years and it was awful. I was verbally harressed by an old lady that lives there and I had to call a tow truck one night because a truck illegally parked behind me and I was unable to leave. I recently moved out and at the walk threw received an A+ for how clean the apartment was. However was told that they would need to go back the next day with a flashlight to check the floors for scratches. Mind you we kept that place spotless. We receive an email a few days later saying they are deducting 309 dollars from our deposit to repair the floors. We were livid all they had for proof was blurry pictures that they emailed us that showed nothing. There’s was nothing we could do. So do yourselves a favor and don’t rent from Brady Sullivan."
"The walls in this apartment are so thin that I could hear my neighbors snore. All of the residents are extremely old and rude. I had my downstairs neighbor bang on the wall constantly for things such as dropping my cellphone on the floor at 9pm. The ladies in the office are extremely kind and responsive; however, they don't seem to be so aware of Brady Sullivan Property policies. I was told one thing by the ladies in the office and then quickly told another thing 2 days later. For my security deposit, during my walk through I was told I just needed one wood panel replaced in the kitchen and it would barely take anything out of my deposit. Later, after no longer having any response from the office, Brady Sullivan took over $300 out for "maintenance and labor". If you want to break your lease here, you owe 3 months of rent. To be fair, it is stated in the lease; however, the office doesn't know how to deal with it properly and told me I could just pay one month until they find another tenant. Then changed that story again. The apartments might look nice, but it's certainly not worth it. Parking is difficult and if you come home after 8pm, it'll be difficult to find a space. The main thing is that the walls are so extremely thin... For this amount of money, there are plenty of other nice apartments in the area. Stay away!"
